Your POV

I sighed and looked out of the cab window, the sky was getting dark. I checked the time:

9;33 P.M

I missed Jin already, even though I wasn't even there yet. It was an hour drive to go, and I was already bored out of my mind.

"Bored?" My mom asked me. I nodded and sighed. Since we didn't have a car, we had to take a cab.

My mom sighed and shook her head.

"There's always something with you." She complained and crossed her arms.

"Leave me alone, you're bored too." I pointed out the way she was slumped on the seat.

She rolled her eyes and took out her phone, starting to play an addictive stupid game. Once she passed a level, she handed it to me.

I tried again and again to pass it, but failed. She chuckled and took her phone back, playing a level for herself.

After a while we got bored of that game. We decided to take a little nap to pass some time.

We woke up when the cab pulled up to an estate. There were roughly nine houses on each side of the road. Each house was different, some big and some small.

We paid the driver and he took our bags out of the back, helping us. We thanked him and walked down the street. Once the cab left, my mother turned to me and frowned.

"What?" I asked her.

She scratched her head and chuckled nervously.

"I- uh... don't know which house it is. The doors have no numbers." She said. I shook my head and sighed.

"You'd swear I'm the mother." I said and crossed my arms. She took out her phone and searched for the number of our new house.

"It's number three. Any idea where that is?" She asked and looked around. A person came out of there house and walked over to us.

"You look a bit lost, can I help?" They asked, stuffing their hands into their pockets. They wore an amused look on there face.

"Yes, do you know where number three is?" My mom asked.

"Oh, sure. Over there. Follow me." They said and started walking down the street. My mother looked at me and frowned. I shrugged and we started to follow the person.

"There's something fishy about him." My mother whispered to me. I nodded and continued following him.

He led us up to a bungalow with a tiled roof.

"Here you are, anything else?" The guy asked. My mother shook her head.

"Thank you for your assistance. See you around!" She waved him off. He finally disappeared around a corner and we looked back at the house.

"Not as bad as I thought it would look." She said, reaching into her pocket and fishing out keys. She unlocked the door and stepped inside. I followed her and looked around the completely empty house.
