Me, Kiba and Ino are walking out of the Hokage Mansion. I didn't realise how long we were inside there, because as soon as we stepped out I noticed it was fairly dark, I guess its coming up to 6:00 PM? I don't really know. I quickly glanced at Ino and Kiba there both standing either side of me which makes me feel safe, because at least they can fight if we get attacked.
Thinking about getting attacked makes me feel useless. My shoulders slump. I don't think I'll be allowed to become a ninja and that's what I've always wanted to do, after watching Naruto.
I mean I loved watching Naruto and his friends fight but I've always wanted to be the one fighting and going on missions! I'm going to have to rely on 'My Guardian' (at least that's what Tsunade named it) Kiba...Not that I'm going to complain about it or anything.
I feel red creeping into my face at the thought. I'm so close to him, I mean this is a dream come true! I glance at him and he's just walking casually, I notice his fang sticking out, which looks so cute! 'Stop it Motoko it's not like he will like you or anything..' My inner self is saying.
"Right, I've got to go now!" Ino hugged me, "I'll see you another day and if you want someone to talk to remember you can always come to me, ok?" I just nodded in response and smiled. She smiled back and walked away.
Kiba scratches the back of his head, "So...how old are you anyways?"
"15, how about you?" I ask, even though I already know.
"I'm 16." Kiba replies smiling, his fangs showing, "You look a bit younger than that, you know?" I don't know whether to take that offensively or as a compliment,
I sigh, "Yeah I've been told that...many times before." The last bit I merely muttered, so I don't think he heard. He just laughed, It's nice to hear him laugh..it's- wait what the hell am I saying for all I know he could be mocking me.
I straighten up slightly and fold my arms. He doesn't need to laugh, I mean yes I am slightly shorter than an average 15 year old, but at least I'm not the smallest in my class. When I'm older at least I will look younger than I actually am, because adults always want to look younger, don't they?
On the way to Kiba's house theres just silence. It's quite warm but theres a slight nice breeze blowing my hair back. We pass Ichiraku Ramen and it looks just like how it looked on my computer screen at home, the same familar material hanging down the entrance of it. I think I hear the familar voice of the one and only Naruto Uzumaki, which makes me smile.
"Hey why you smiling?" Kiba asks curiously, breaking the silence.
"N-no reason." I stutter.
"Is it cause your in the presence of an Inuzuka?" Kiba teases, grinning.
I blush and quickly shake my head. Jeez what a jerk, he's so cocky that I don't know why I fancy him.
Luckily I don't have time to reply because we have arrived at the Inuzuka Household.
"We're here at the Inuzuka Territory..At least that's what my ma calls it." Kiba chuckles, and walks through the gates. Akamaru barks, wagging his tail whilst chasing after his master.
I just stand there examining Kiba's house. It's not what I expected, well to be honest I don't know what I expected. It is a traditional Japanese styled house and surrounding it is brown gates.
The front garden has green grass...or shall I say once green grass, as it's now brown and dying and looks dehydrated. On the dying grass has once beautiful flowers..Yeah you guessed it, it's now dying drooping flowers, also they looked chewed, I'm guessing they were chewed by their dogs.
If you look carefully the gate is actually chewed and has lots of violent scratches by dogs, like the dogs were trying to escape. You know what they say about having first impressions? Mines not very good. Well I hope that this house is not that bad on the inside.
I gulp, at the thought of the inside. "Hey! You gonna come in or you just gonna stand there and look at it?" Kiba turned around and my face must have read what I thought, "I-it's not as bad as it looks, ok? My ma just hasn't watered the grass for about 2 weeks..." Kiba scratched his head, looking nervous and obviously lying.
Who's he think he's kidding! It looks like it hasn't been watered for eternity! I force a smile and push open the creaky gate. And I walk through the dry dead plants towards the door.
Kiba opens the door, "Ladies first.." He gestured for me to walk through. So I do also thanking him. As soon as I enter a group of dogs jump up at me and bark loudly, have I ever mentioned I hate big dogs? Fortunately Kiba comes to my rescue. He steps in front of me. "Oi! Lay off her, she's a guest she'll be staying a while, so you better get used to her!" Kiba demands. Akamaru also barks at them.
The dogs growl at me still, but don't jump at me, if it wasn't for Kiba and Akamaru I think I would be shreaded to pieces by them. The dogs are big and agressive, showing there fangs and canines. How can the dogs already hate me?
They don't even know me yet? Well this is a great start I've just stepped in the house (I haven't even looked around yet) and I already have enemies!
Oh boy I don't think I can stand staying here till I can return home! Why Tsunade, why did you choose me to stay with big blood thirsty dogs who hate my guts?
