lia, cameron, aaron, ethan, sophia and i all stood around the tv watching the one minute countdown begin for the start of the new year. the popcorn bowls were all lined up ready for our tradition of pelting each other.
normally we would of had a couple swigs of freshly made apple cider but since lia was pregnant we all had apple juice instead. ryan seacreast got more excited as the seconds on the brightly lit clock counted down.
"grab your partners and smooch them as hard as you can!" he yelled into the microphone as the clock displayed it's final second. of course the love birds were sucking faces and making everyone uncomfortable.
but who cared when popcorn was being flung back and forth like a paintball fight getting stuck in our thick hair. everyone was laughing whilst eating and throwing the popcorn. even a few managed to hit lia and cameron who were still interlocking lips like animals.
"happy new year!" he yelled one minute after the fireworks started all around them which we could see from our apartment. this year would be the best yet and i couldn't wait.
we headed down to the apartment complex swimming pool and hot tub and just lounged talking about the memories from the year.
"our birthday was pretty sick" ethan laughed and i agreed.

we continued to watch the fireworks from people all over la celebrating their chance to turn over a new leaf. unrealistic goals being set to achieve by the end of the year.
"you have a popcorn kernel in your hair" sophia said pulling the brown squishy kernel from one of my strands of hair. music was blaring from the loudspeakers. we all started to splash each other and dance like mad men.

heyooo! short chapter i know but i wanted to thank all of you guys for getting this book to 3k + reads in thespace of 8 months. i really hope you will continue on this journey with me and continue to enjoy the story. happy newyear and i wish you good health for the new year.
