To Love A Punk
Chapter Fifteen: Back In Your Arms, Where I Belong
One week has passed since the incident with Karen and Sid, and the tour has ended. The Ramones had decided to stay in LA for a few days. Karen was spending the day shopping and found a beautiful satin dress. All black, V neck, tight and knee length.
Karen went back to the hotel soon after she purchased the dress, and put it on after showering. Perhaps, she was hoping it would capture the attention of a certain lead singer? Either way, she was feeling very confident in her new dress.
Karen decides to go to the pool, surely Joey will be there. He'll see her in the dress, and see what he's been missing out on, or at least that's what Karen is hoping will happen.
Once Karen starts walking to the pool area, it isn't long until she sees Joey. In fact, he was walking to her room, to talk her. Or so, he said.
"Hi Karen." Joey says, giving that sweet smile of his.
And with those two words and that smile, Karen immediately began to melt. She couldn't though, not now. She had to stay strong!
"I'm glad I ran into you. I was just heading to your room, so we could talk." Joey says, casually.
"There's no need for that, if you have anything to say to me you can say it right here." Karen says, firmly.
"It's kinda important, you know? I wanted to talk about us." Joey says, looking embarrassed.
"I'm sorry. You dump me after two days, giving me absolutely no reason why, and now you wanna get back together? I at least, need some time to think about it." Karen walks away, trying to hide her tears.
Still in tears, Karen is completely unsure of whether or not she has done the right thing. A part of her simply wanted revenge from Joey breaking her heart. Though, what she really wanted, was just to be with him again. Had she lost her one and only chance to get him back?
Karen has now gone out to the pool area, like she had originally planned. She finds a nice seat in a shaded spot. She is enjoying the cool breeze, as it hits her face. When Dee Dee comes over to speak with her.
"Hey Karen. You look really good, today." Dee Dee says, his eyes cold, and his face with out a smile.
"Thanks." Karen says, looking at Dee Dee.
"So, are you over everything now?" Dee Dee asks, awkwardly.
"What exactly are you referring to You and I, Or me and Joey? Karen asks, removing her sunglasses.
"You and Joey, I guess." He answers.
"No Dee Dee, I'm not."
"How have you been handling things?" Karen asks.
"I'm a lot better now. I'm clean and sober, too." He says, finally smiling.
Karen waved at Dee Dee and gave him a friendly smile as he walked away. She could see that he had a pretty blonde waiting for him. Karen truly hoped that she and Dee Dee, could someday become friends again.
Karen eventually decided that she had had enough fun in the sun for one afternoon. As she got up, to go back to her hotel room, she saw Joey standing alone by the pool, perhaps all hope was not lost after all. This was her chance! She had to go talk to him!
Karen gathers all the courage she possibly can, and walks over to Joey.
"Hey Joey!" Karen smiles.
"Hey. I see you and Dee Dee are finally getting along again." Joey smiles back.
"Yeah. It looks like he's got a new girlfriend." Karen says, attempting to make small talk.
"Yeah, he's always got a new girlfriend."
"Anyway, you said you wanted to talk, earlier." Karen says, nervously.
Karen and Joey decide to go to Karen's hotel room to talk.
Karen and Joey have now entered Karen's hotel room. Both parties are nervous stand awkwardly by the wall.
"We've got a lot to talk about." Joey says.
"You're right." Karen agrees.
"I just wanna say, I know about you and Sid, and I'm not mad." Joey Joey mumbles.
"Whatever. We were broken up when that happened, so why we bring it up at all?" Karen says, starting to get upset.
"Ok. Fine. I'm sorry."
"Can I ask why you broke up with me, in the first place?" Karen asks hesitantly.
"Trust me, I didn't want to. I just kinda felt like I betrayed Dee Dee."
There has now been an awkward silence in the room for a number of minutes. Karen, didn't know what to say. She wanted Joey back, she really did. What was she supposed to-do? Beg him to take her back? She had more pride than that. Luckily, Joey was about to break the silence.
"You do look amazing in that dress." Joey says, and Karen quickly turns away.
"Thank you. She mumbles, turning back around to face Joey.
"I bet you would look even better out of it. " Joey smirks and Karen's face turns bright red.
"You can't do this, Joey!" Karen yells, and you can hear the hurt in her voice.
"Stop talking." Joey says, calmly.
"No, you can't just break up with me and..." Before Karen can finish her sentence, she finds herself in Joey's warm embrace.
As angry as she was with him for breaking up with her, and as much as she tried to fight it, she wanted nothing, more than to be in his arms.
Right then, just as if he were reading her mind, Joey pulls Karen so close to him that he can feel her heart beating, next to his. Karen can't hide the smile on her face, as Joey gazes longingly into her eyes, and she into his. There was something different this time about the way he was looking at her, though. Karen could see a certain fire in Joey's eyes, a burning desire. Joey lowers his head, so it's level with Karen's, and moves it slowly towards her. He then places both hands on her shoulders, as he gently places his lips onto hers. She lets out subtle, yet satisfied sigh, as she and joey, make their way to the bed, still kissing as they do so. Joey and Karen are now laying side by side on the bed. Joey kisses Karen's shoulder, and her, neck, she sighs, until her sigh gets louder and louder. Karen takes the blanket, she's holding onto and places it over her mouth, turning her loud sigh into a muffled moan. Joey looks at karen, as he runs his hand slowly up her thigh, and pauses for a brief moment.
"Touch me, already!" Karen whispers, and he does just that.
