Belle's POV:

Shopping was extremely fun, and it was nice not feeling pressured as to what I had to wear. Tobias gave us his card, and Isaac went crazy with the clothes. Tobias thought Isaac and I should shop together so it would be a bit easier for us to settle in while he worked on some of his alpha duties. I'm glad he did because it gave me a lot of time to think.

Hours later Isaac and I enter the house and I'm greeted by Tobias immediately. He holds me in his embrace tightly, making me drop my bags and hold him too. "I was getting worried." Why? I thought he said it was okay for us to go shopping. Dread fills my mind, afraid of what he'll do if I upset him. No, I can't think like that. He's not his brother.

Tobias lets me go and I look into his dark eyes. They slowly shift back his normal, lively color. "I'm sorry... I didn't know you wanted us back at a certain time."

"Oh, no, it's fine. I'm the one who is sorry. My wolf was just starting to get anxious without you, and started running through all of the possibilities that could've went wrong." The image of Alexander locking me away, passes through my mind.

"Oh... Well I'm okay. We probably spent all of your money, but nothing went wrong." I smile, and Tobias laughs. He picks up my many shopping bags and starts carrying them up to his room. Without a word, I follow him up the stairs.

Tobias gets to his room before me due to my shorter legs, and his Alpha blood. Finally, when I get up to his room I plop on his bed tired of walking. You would think I'd be in good shape since I'm a werewolf, but I'm actually kind of lazy.

Tobias laughs at me from his closet and lets me catch my breath. "Why does this house have some many dang stairs? It's exhausting."

Tobias comes out of the closet and leans over the bed. "Oh, I'm sorry princess." A smile graces his lips, and he places a soft kiss on my head. The gesture sends a blush to my cheeks, but I just close my eyes acting as if it didn't affect me so much.

"Oh... oh gosh. You're right, I feel the exhaustion weighing over me. Oh, darn you stairs!" With that Tobias dramatically plops on top of me, careful not to actually hurt me. I laugh and try to push him off. Tobias doesn't budge, and slowly gets heavier.

"Only the kiss of a beautiful princess can save me now." I laugh and try once again to push him off.

"Eww gross! No way!" Slowly he becomes heavier and heavier, purposefully.

"Hurry Belle, I'm dying." He closes his eyes waiting for me to save him.

"Ugh, fine." Closing my eyes, I meet his lips with my own. Sparks fly and I relish in the feeling. We've kissed before, but it was only in a dream. This was reality and it's certainly much better than a dream.

Tobias lifts his head and looks at me. Happiness dance in his eyes, and a smile spreads across his lips. "Hmm I like it here." He snuggles into me, leaving me stuck underneath him. Traitor, we had a deal. How am I supposed to get him off now?

An idea pops into my head and I fake a gasp for air, "Tobias... can't... breathe... Squishing... mee..." Tobias bolts up, fear written in his eyes, making me sit up and laugh. Realizing it was a joke, he frowns.

"Not funny Belle, you had my wolf and I worried. After hearing you like that, all Xerxes could think about was the ball..." His whole posture drops, and the man in front of me looks like a broken puppy.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't think- I-" I can't find any words to say, so instead I walk over to Tobias and hug him tightly. Tobias's arms wrap around me tightly, as if I'd disappear if he let me go. I can't imagine what him and his wolf went through watching me burn and suffocate in front of him, unable to do anything.

We sit in the comforting silence for a while, until Isaac calls for us from downstairs. Tobias sighs, "Well I guess dinner is done. Shall we?"

Itake his hand and follow him down the many stairs, "We shall."
