I meet demigods!

I couldn't stop grinning. In fact it looked like I slept with a cloth hanger in my mouth last night. But how could I not be happy. After so many years of day-dreaming and fantasising, I was finally going to meet the demigods!

Dam! I can't keep calm. I thought.

The guilt of disobeying my father kept bugging me. I wanted to scream. I hated that feeling, because I had never disobeyed him before. It was just that I did not care anymore. I was at my limit of patience. I wanted to fight.

The taxi dropped me in front of Half Blood hill. I had already managed to bandage my knee with a piece of cloth I tore from my shirt. I also had messed up my hair a little, so it looked like I just fought a monster on my way to camp. Ah, I'm a genius!

I started walking up the hill.

Somehow, the Athena part of me thought it wasn't wise of me to do all this. Then again the Ares part of me wanted to act all triumphant. And the Dionysus part of me was Hulu-dancing somewhere in the background.

Oh c'mon! I told myself. How bad could it be. It'll be fun.

With all those stupid thoughts, I didn't even notice when I entered camp. A demigod here, a demigod there, demigod, demigod. Arghhh don't freak out! I commanded myself. It'll be alright. Deep breath. Deep br... "DUUUCKKK" Someone yelled.

I ducked, and fell on my rear.

SWEESH... FLOOMP!!

An arrow flew so close to my right ear, it was almost terrifying. Not totally, but almost.

For a second, I could not quite register what just happened. I was still lying on the ground thinking how embarrassing an entrance I could make. First the extra excitement shown by the land in the parking lot, and now this! One thing for sure, even if the arrow didn't kill me, Zeus will soon.

A charming blonde guy came rushing towards me. He gasped violently. "GET HER TO THE INFIRMARY."

I could not stop staring at him. Someone behind me yelled, "Watch your aim Lee! You almost hit the new kid."

Before I could open my mouth to say something, some big kids picked me up and in no time I was in the infirmary where they put me on a stretcher.

The blonde guy stood beside me.

"You look like you fought some monster on your way here," he said.

Fooled him! I thought, smirking.

"Yeah. I fought... Wait a second. Oh my... You are Will!" I screamed.

"Yes it's me. Sorry but, have we met before?"

"Uh I guess," I shrugged.

You need to chill! I told myself.

Will frowned.

His eyes travelled to the bandage I had on my knee. "That's tied the wrong way. So wrong. So wrong." He murmured, trying to unwrap it.

"NOOOOOOOO!" I shouted. He backed away.

"What?"

I did not feel like revealing my identity. It was just a small trip to camp. No big deal. If Will discovered the golden ichor he'd freak out and tell everyone. But I came here to take a break from my usual goddess routine and be a normal demigod. I'll just see around a bit, I thought. And I'll leave for Olympus, before sun down, so Zeus wouldn't know.

"I just... It's just..." I stammered.

I found a girl walk in the infirmary. She had glorious eyes which seemed to change colour. "What's up Will?"

It was Piper! She was one of the seven. The Seven.

Saved by McLean! I thought.

"Piper! Long time no see." Will grinned.

"Will. I just came by yesterday."

"Oh." His eyes shifted from side to side as if trying to read invisible calculations.

Piper laughed. "You should come out of the infirmary more often.

And by the way, Chiron wants to see the new camper."

"Alrighty." He turned towards me, tilting his head. "What is your name?"

"I'm Delilah." I said.
