i watched you as you loaded

your bags into the van.

you looked sad.

i could tell from your eyes.

but you still smiled anyway.

you looked at your family one last time

like as if you were thanking them for

protecting you and giving shelter

and being your home.

i was hoping you'd look back

look at me

and smile and wave

like how we met 13 years ago

but you didn't.

you didn't even look at me.

you just went into the van

slammed the door

and drove away

without saying a proper goodbye.

now, you made me feel

a new feeling.

sadness, anger, loneliness.
