My Best Friend

After I left the hospital, I went back home to cook dinner and to feed Buster. I walked in and Buster was laying down on the couch, sleeping. I walked over to him and petted his head and he awoke and started to lick my face.

"Gosh buddy, I wasn't gone that long." I got up and put a pizza in the oven and gave Buster some dog food and he didn't touch it at first but then he started to eat. 

Me and that dog have been threw everything, he was there for me when I lost my father, when I moved to be a cop and even when I went into the military for four years. I got him when he was only 1 month old and I trained him to do a lot of things, he can give paw, roll over, speak and he can even say "I love you" somewhat.

He's my best friend, there's a saying that says "A dog is a man's best friend" but they are also girls best friend's as well. I love that dog soo much. After the pizza was done, I sat on my couch and started to watch NCIS, I LOVE THIS SHOW! 

Buster climbed on the couch next to me and rested his head on my leg. I rubbed his head until there was knock on my door and I got up and answered it.

No one was there but there was a box at my door step so I grabbed it and sat it on my table. I opened it and there was a note that said,

"You think that your little boyfriend, saved you then. But wait till I see you again, he won't be able to save you then, no one will be able to. Goodbye Elizabeth."

I dropped the note and walked backwards till I hit the edge of my counter top. 

Who sent this and what did they mean when they said that no one can save me?

I grabbed my cell phone and called Tyler.

"hello Lizard." He said.

"Tyler, can you um.. come over please, I don't feel safe." My voice started to crack, I hit mute and breathed in and out, then un-muted it.

"I'm on my way." With that said, he ended the call.

I put my cell phone on the counter carefully so I didn't break it or drop it, this is my fifth I Phone 6 this year. I couldn't afford another one. 

Ten minutes and Tyler was here and the minute I opened the door he gave me hug. I felt safe now that he was here.

"Now, what is wrong. Did anyone hurt you? Threaten you?" He asked concerned.

I mentally debated whether or not I should tell him about the note, he already has a lot on his plate and I don't want to add on it.

"I just felt scared, sorry if I scared you." I didn't tell him, I couldn't.

"Oh, for crying out loud, you had me so worried." He said and sighed.

"Wanna watch a movie with me?" I asked.

"Yeah sure but can I pick the movie?" He asked.

"I really wanted to watch A Walk to Remember," I batted my eyelashes, "Pleaseee." I begged and even threw in the puppy dog face.

"Fine." He said and groaned. I sighed, I found that sexy.

Wait back the fuck up, what the fuck did  I just say? 

I mentally face palmed and walked over to the couch and sat next to Buster and Tyler sat on the other side of me, so I was in the middle of my two best friends.

A tear slid down Tyler's face when Landon started to cry on his way to Jamie's house. I noticed and wiped it away.

"Hey, it's just a movie, don't cry." I said.

"What if I found out that you had cancer, I don't think I could live if you died Lizzy, you are what keeps me going everyday even when we weren't near each other or when we barely talked or saw each other." He said and more tears started.

"Aweee, Ty." A tear slid down my face, I loved him, in a best friend way, don't get any ideas. 

He wiped my tear away and pulled me onto his lap and I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Don't leave me, Lizard. Don't ever." I smiled and was about to say something when Buster started seize, I jumped up and tried to stop him from doing it but he kept seizing.

"Help me get him to the vet, Tyler." I cried as he lifted Buster into the car and we drove off to the vet.
