2 o clock rolled around pretty quickly. Clarence had dropped me off at the Panera bread I was supposed to meet this girl at. She was a local youtuber. I met her off Instagram and then we exchanged numbers. I watched a few of her videos and could tell she had recently started her channel. Her name was Chrissy Manulo. I only knew what she looked like from her pictures on Instagram but I didn't see her in here yet. I sat at a table and waited for her to get here before I ordered anything.

Twenty minutes had passed and she still wasn't here. I called her phone and got no answer. I called her three more times and still no answer. I was getting irritated now. I waited five more minutes at least for her to text me or something.

I finally drew the conclusion in my head that she wasn't coming so I ordered my food to go and left out. It was 2:45 and I had to be to work at 4 so I just thought I'd walk around the city for a little. I walked to Times Square and walked into a few stores.

Getting paid by two different people is a blessing in disguise. My first Youtube check was about two hundred dollars. I put that two hundred toward my apartment and now I have it. The checks i'm getting now are about five to six hundred dollars. Youtube only pays me monthly that's why I need my other job to support me as well. I put half of my Youtube money in a savings account and spend the rest on equipment for my videos. I also go shopping, I mean who wouldn't.

As i'm walking out of Victoria's Secret this group of dudes walk pass me. There was one of them that was fine as hell. He looked back at me twice then made the decision to come and talk to me.

"How you doing?" he licked his lips.

I thought about my pep talk. "I'm great, you?" I smiled at him. If this was any other day I wouldn't have even let him approach me.

Go head' and get you some though girl.

"Cool, Cool. What's ya' name beautiful?" he stood there with his hands in his pockets.

"Kali, and yours?" I crossed my legs.

"Terrell, it's very nice to meet you Kali. Where you heading to?"

"Um.. probably just another store." I started to get sweaty because I felt like the conversation was going to get awkward.

"I would see if I could tag along but I'm with my homeboys right now. So can I have your number just in case I wanna see you again?" he sweet talked me.

"Uh..yeah sure." I spoke as he handed me his phone.

I put my number in his phone and saved it as 'Kali' no emojis. I handed him his phone back. "Cool, Imma text you later.. and you better answer." he smiled.

'yOu bEtTeR aNsWeR', I thought. He ain't my damn daddy.

"Ok." I nodded. "See you around." I walked away.

After that I caught the train home. I walked down the street and around the corner to my building. When I was making my way down the street I saw Clarence rested up against his car on the phone with someone. His friends were all surrounding the steps talking and what not. I pulled my phone out and responded to text messages from Mila and Carlo before leaving it in my hand and pulling out my keys. Once I got to my building I walked straight past C and his friends.

Yes be petty

I put my code and felt eyes on me, I knew that nigga was looking at me. I was listening to his phone conversation and it sounded like he was on the phone with a female because of the way he was talking. I rolled my eyes. It was probably the girl that was getting dicked down last night.

I walked inside the building, put my key in the door and walked inside my apartment. I sat my keys down on the counter and carried my bags to my bedroom. I had only went to Victoria's secret, Forever 21 and the beauty supply store. I turned the TV in my room on and sat on my bed I took out what's left of my sandwich from Panera and bit into it. It was a little cold so I thought I'd heat it up. When I walked out to my kitchen I heard someone knock on my door. I knew it had to be him so I didn't answer.

Those knocks turned into banging, then the banging turned into my phone ringing. I laughed at him.

"Hello?"

"Kay, open the door. I know you hear me." He sounded annoyed.

oops.

"My bad." I snickered lowly.

I hung up and opened the door for him, but I only I didn't open it wide enough for him to come in. He sighed, "What you doin' man?"

"Nothing, why you always think i'm doing something. What do you want?" I spat. He looked at me like I was crazy. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" he mugged me.

"Nothing." I lied.

I was jealous at the fact that he messes with other females then comes to my house and cuddles up with me on the couch. I was mad that he didn't like me the way I liked him. Maybe I needed to leave my feelings out of it and just be a good friend.

"Whatever man." he pushed past me and went in the kitchen. I closed the door and sped walked to my kitchen. "What are you doing?" I crossed my arms. "Where's the white cheddar popcorn?" he looked through my cabinets. I walked behind him and opened the cabinet near the sink and pulled them out from the back. I threw the bag at him.

"Thank you." he cheesed and walked to the couch. He propped his feet up on my table and turned the TV on. I walked over to him with my mind going a mile a minute. I pushed my feelings down deep and started to think about myself. I sat on the other end of the couch and wrapped myself in my blanket. I grabbed my phone off the coffee table and replied to Terrell. He ended up texting me right after I walked away from him. We'd been texting ever since. I looked at Clarence out of the corner of my eye watching him enjoy MY chips while he watching Sportscenter.

"So wassup Kay, why you acting all mean all of a sudden?" Clarence turned the tv down.

cause you're playing with my feelings.

"I think i'm about to get on my period." I shrugged.

He nodded and continued eating MY chips.

"Where'd your friends go?" I asked texting Terrell back.

He pointed to the ceiling letting me know that they we're upstairs in his apartment probably making a damn mess.

I nodded. Terrell ended up texting me back asking if he could Facetime me. I thought of this as the perfect opportunity to prove to myself that I didn't need Clarence's approval. I responded with a yes and seconds later my phone started to ring. I picked it up slowly and aimed the camera at myself.

"Wassup?" Terrell smiled in the camera.

I'm assuming Clarence heard that it was a dude so he looked over and peeked at my phone. He mumbled a who that? and I simply told him to mind his business. I got up and took my conversation into my bedroom. A couple minutes into my conversation I heard my front door slam. I told Terrell to hold up.

I got up and walked into my living room and saw that C was gone and I looked in my cabinet and saw my chips rolled up with a clip on them. I shook my head and finished my conversation with a potential boo before getting ready for work.
