Three Days later
After I got off work last night I was so tired I didn't even take my makeup off when I went to bed. I stretched my body and slowly crawled out of bed. I checked my phone for emails and other social media sites.
Luckily I have the day off today so I could sleep in today. While I was scrolling down my emails I came across a particular email from a hair vendor from AliExpress. I clicked on the email quickly and began to read it.
All the hair vendors i've been working with have been really small brands. So I was ecstatic to be working with a well known brand. I started grinning as I read the email entirely and immediately emailed them back, accepting. their offer to work with me.
After sending the email I shut my computer and hooked my phone up to my speakers before getting in the shower and finishing my morning routine.
After getting dressed in some black leggings with an oversized sweater with slits down the arms and my tan Uggs I grabbed my bag and keys and left out the house. I shot a text to Mila telling her to meet me at the mall. I honestly didn't even make plans to go anywhere I just got dressed at left out because I knew I wanted to do something today. I walked outside of my apartment building and started my walk to the train station. It was going on 12 so I knew it would be crowded. Before I could turn the corner I got a call from Mila.
"Hello?"
"Yeah, I can't go out today babe." Mila sighed.
I rolled my eyes and stopped in my tracks.
"Why not?"
I was honestly irritated. Ever since the club incident Mila just doesn't want to show her face anywhere. She thinks since the video went basically viral that people are going to be talking about her. Deep down I always knew Mila was bothered about what people thought of her. She was such a confident girl but when people develop an opinion about her, her self esteem gets really low. I'm the one who has to get it back to where it was before.
"My grandma's in the hospital again. She had another seizure."
I could tell Mila was on the verge of tears. Her grandmother suffers from epilepsy. Just like me, Mila had troubles with her mother. So she looked to her grandmother for guidance. Her grandmother was more of a mother to her than her own mother. I guess that's why we really clicked.
"I'm sorry boo, What hospital is she in? I'll come by and see you later on." I walked back to my apartment building.
"They brought her to Lenox Hill. I'll send you the suite number later." she sniffled.
"Okay, girl. She's gonna be okay. Ms. Tonya's a tough lady. " I assured her.
"I hope so, Talk to you later."
