Austin's p.o.v.

I heard screaming upstairs and Thalia's voice. "Please either quit being an asshole or..." the rest of her words are muffled by choked up cries. She runs down the stairs and looks up at me, with tears in her eyes. I can barely make eye contact with her, fearing that I'll start crying too. What person in this entire house would ever do something like this to Thalia, the sweetest girl I've ever met.
"What happened?" I ask, and she looks at the ground she walks towards me. She avoiding my eyes and its obvious. Something is definitely wrong if she won't look at me.
"I don't wanna talk about it right now." She says in between sobs. She runs into my arms and I hold her there. Whatever happened I'm gonna make sure it's doesn't happen again, and once I figure out who did this I'm gonna have to talk with them. Anyway, I'm gonna make her day way better, I decide as she cries into my chest.

Thalia's p.o.v. *skip forward to target*

We finally walk into Target, and Austin keeps his arm around me. I keep trying to forget about what happened but Nicks word are stuck in my mind, repeating over and over again. "You deserve more than you're getting at this point." "...not someone to just play around with." UGHHH. I can feel tears start to come to my eyes. Nooo. Not again. I'm trying to forget and just have fun with Austin, but if I keep crying then how am I gonna forget?
"Hey." Austin says, and I just look down at the ground. "Hey" he repeats and this time he tilts my head up. "You're gonna be ok, I'm gonna get your mind off of it, guaranteed. But we aren't going to talk about it at all while we're out. We can talk about when you're ready." I nod my head. What kind of guy would say "we can talk about it when you are ready". We get a carriage and start going towards the food isles. I walk behind him reading the list I've made of everything I forgot back home in Montana. "Thalia" Austin says as he turns around.
           "Yeah," I reply.
"Get in the cart," he smiles. I laugh, thinking he's joking.
"Very funny, but we aren't five, Austin"
"True, but who said we couldn't act like we're five?" He puts his hands around my waist, picks me up, and plops me in the cart. Standing in front of me he smiles the happiest smile I've ever seen. "Better?"
I roll my eyes and he pouts at me. "Better," I say. He pushes the cart the entire time we are there, as I read off my list and point at what I want. He's pretty great at listening to me. I only had to get out of the cart a few times.
We go to cash out and I see the Starbucks. Im pretty basic, so obviously I want it. I look over and Austin is staring at Starbucks too, practically drooling. What a basic white girl. "Hey you go get it if u want it, I have to pay anyways." I tell him, pointing at our cart. He smiles and starts walking over to it. "Austin you forgot to take my order"
"Oh, where are my manners" he laughs "what would you like madame?"
"Tall chocolate mocha Frappuccino with two espresso shots please."
"Wow. Big words. I'll go get that for you princess" He says as he bows. People are staring at us and it just makes everything that much funnier. I bow back as he walks away and take out my wallet. Wow I didn't even know it was possible to be so lost in someone's eyes, never mind their personality. He's so sweet. Unlike some other guys. Austin the most amazing pers...
"You're total is 56.71" repeats the cashier girl in one of the rudest tones I've ever heard, and I shake myself back to reality. Fumbling my wallet, she rolls her eyes at me.
"Hey I'm trying ok, and I'm not in the mood for sass from a complete stranger."
"Ok, but it looks like loverboy over there is in the mood for a complete stranger" she scoffs as she points towards Austin, who is leaning over the counter, talking to the barista who prettymuch has stars in her eyes. What is he doing, what am I looking at. He's flirting with her and he looks head over heels too. What's happening to me today? Tears start to come to my eyes as soon as my smile left my face.
"Whatever, here's the money" I say to the rude cashier girl.  She gives me a look that I can only register as "I feel sorry for you". Well today's a great day for me. Hey, maybe he's just being polite and I'm on edge because of Nick. I look over again and he's leaning over the counter again with his chin in his hands, while she makes the drink. Why would he do this to me. We just started really getting to know each other.
I grab all my bags and slowly start to walk over, I decide it was better to just wait by the door so I wouldn't have to see her. He probably doesn't want her to see me anyways. She walks around the counter hugs him, and hands him our drinks. I honestly don't know what to think, or what to say. I'll just act like I didn't see anything, cuz whatever, forget it.
