Star entered 'Mewni' (a cafe her family owned) sluggishly trying to fight back the urge to go home and stay in bed all day. She groaned quietly as she went up to the manager, a.k.a. her mom's office. She opened the mid-sized door slowly and closed it afterwards. "Morning mom." She greeted her mother who was in front of her managing some papers. "Good morning darling, the cafe opens in 30 minutes so you should get ready." Moon quickly told star, still drowning herself in paperwork. Star muttered a quiet "okay" and changed to her uniform. "I'm heading down mom!" Star told Moon and went down to the cafe. She looked at her watch and thought, "Great! 20 minutes before the cafe opens!" She smiled to herself and checked her phone.

She opened her phone and looked at the messages.

Marco💞: Hey Star! Hope you had a good morning😉
Marco💞: Hope ur ready for the meet-up later💞
Star stopped at her tracks. She forgot she was gonna meet Marco in person for the first time today! She texted back.
Star🌟: Hey Marco😄 yea I had a good morning, thanks 4 asking... And yea i'm ready 4 the meet up☺️
Pony and Kelly arrived cleaning the kitchen. She prepped the counter and tables and went to Kelly and Pony before checking her phone again.
Marco💞: See U at 6☺️
That's when Star freaked out. She neared Pony and Kelly sat beside the two.
"I stick with real things, usually facts and figures. When informations in it's place I minimize the guessing game~!" Star sang, as conscious as ever. Pony and Kelly were leaning close to her, listening to their friend.
"Guess what?" Star asked Pony and Kelly. "What?" Star's friends answered her with a question. "I don't like guessing games or when I feel things before I know the feelings. How am I supposed to operate if i'm just tossed around by fate?" Star continued as she swayed her hips and felt the song. "Like" She breathed for air. "On an unexpected date~" She continued once more, earning an eye-roll from kelly. "With a stranger who might talk too fast, or ask me questions about myself before i've decided that he can ask me questions about myself," Star vigorously poured the caramel into the squeeze bottle and did the same for the chocolate syrup. "He might sit too close... Or call the waiter by his first name or eat Oreos" Star then, went to the cookie jar and grabbed an Oreo and dissected the two cookies and licked the cookie with the cream. "But eat the cookie before the cream. But what scares me the most... What scares me the most." Star then shoved the cookie in her mouth . "What if when he sees me, what if he doesn't like it?" Star touched her birthmarks on her cheeks and covered it. Yes, she was always insecure about her birthmarks, it's because some people would call her weird because of it. "What if he runs the other way and I can't hide from it?" She ascended her hand a bit so she could cover her eyes, as if she was hiding. "What happens then?" She uncovered her eyes and looked at the clock 8:00. "Time to open the cafe." She thought. "If when he knows me, he's only disappointed?" Star then, opened the door and thought about the people who called her weird. "What of i give myself away to only get it given back? I can't live with that..." Star san softly sorting out the money in the cash register. "So, I'm just fine, inside my shell-shaped mind" She rubbed her temples and continued with the cash register. "This way I get the best view
So, when he sees me, I want him to." Star was gonna continue singing when-
"Hey, can I order a Mocha latte?" A certain Latino gave an order to the blonde.
