Kai's POV
A few weeks after we came back from Drekas and on the trip home, we decided to stop at a motel just because we were lazy and tired to drive. Yes, drive. One of Aimi's uncle gave her a car, so we decided to put it to use and drive home. "... This is where we're staying at? This.... This junk?" Daliada looked at the beds and the couch with disgust. She touched the bed with the tips of her fingers and sneezed causing dust to fly everywhere. She fell on the bed and muffled, "Stupid dust." I looked around for Rain and saw her sitting the the window seat, staring off into space. She looked at me and smiled, showing her white teeth. I smiled back, sighing. Today was our anniversary, 2nd year. I wonder if she remembered.
She gestured me to come closer to her with her head and I obeyed. I entered in her arms and kissed the top of her head. She cuddled into the crook of my neck and I heard someone clear their throat. "Well, if I am not interrupting, we need someone to go downstairs to get out luggage."
I grunted, hearing Rain scoff. "Go get it youself," she said, her voice muffled into my neck, her lips tickling me as I shivered.
"But it's soo faarrr!!" Aimi waved her hand around as she whined. "Pleeaassee?"
"Fine, I'll go get it," Rain said. She let her arms go from my neck and grabbed the car keys from the table. I whined as she was about to go out the door and she chuckled, grabbing my hand and tugging it. "You're coming with me."
"Don't forget, keep it rated E for everyone, Claudia Rain Todd!!!" Ryan yelled, causing roars of laughter to fill the room. Rain rolled her eyes and led me out of the room to the parking garage. She let go of my hand and focused on the key, trying to figure out which one was to open the trunk. This car didn't have that button, you had to use the keys to open it.
I chuckled and took the keys form her hand. "And this is why you don't drive."
"I don't drive because I am not of proper age," she joked.
"You're eighteen, babe. Of course you're 'of proper age'," I air quoted.
"She is the proper age but she just can never pass the test! Plus do you really want someone like her driving around the road with Innocent people like me walking around?" Aimi screamed from the window. "And if you gonna talk and not want anyone to hear, make sure you move further away dumb butts!"
She rolled her eyes as I grabbed the luggage's out of the trunk. She was staring at something, sticking her tongue out at the corners of her mouth and narrowing her eyes as if she were concentrated. "You okay?"
"I'm still trying to figure out how I put up with you all these years..." she wondered out loud. "I mean... Happy Anniversary!" I chuckled.
"Good, you remembered. I was starting to think you forgot. And happy anniversary to you too, my dear raindrop."
"Oh, so now it's raindrop? What happened to gumdrop?"
"Raindrop suits you better. I mean, your name is Rain, so why not?" I shrugged. She scoffed and dragged one of the luggages with her to the elevator. I dragged the other one and joined her in the elevator, but the door was about to close and it closed in on me. It reopened and I quickly went in. "Thanks for waiting, babe."
"No problem." once we were on the 5th floor, she pecked my cheek and went to our room.
She knocked on the door and Ryan pulled it open with an amused look on his face. "Sooo, how was the trip?"
"Move out of the way, Will." he obeyed but stopped me from entering the room.
"...Can I help yoouu?" I asked, scared of what he was going to say with that smirk on his face.
