The Big Decision

"Well Foster, looks like we saved the world. Again." Keefe said draping his arm around Sophie's shoulder. Sophie beamed. The Neverseen were finally defeated. They had done alot of damage, flooding Atlantis and burning territories, but everything was in the process of being repaired. "I always knew Sophie could do it." Fitz said taking her hand. "Well, uh, so did I! We always believed in you Sophie!" Dex exclaimed. Sophie smiled at her friends. Biana was almost in tears and Tam and Linh had finally decided to make amends with thier parents. Everything felt simple. But, simple wasnt a word in Sophie's vocabulary. It didn't feel right that everything was going so smoothly. Keefe nudged her shoulder. "Hey Foster, you ok? Your mood just shifted, and..." "Yeah, yeah I'm great." "Ok, well then I have a question." "Yes?" The intensity of his stare and sudden realization of how close he was standing made her blush. "Me too!" Fitz said with Dex not far behind. "We were wondering, since we've won and all...who do you pick?" "What?" Sophie asked feigning innocence. She had an idea of what they meant, and it scared her. "Well, we all have a crush on you and....Your gonna pick me right?" Keefe asked flashing a confident smirk. Fitz and Dex gagged. "Sophie, c'mon. We're like the power couple of the world!" Keefe said pumping his fists and throwing glares at Dex and Fitz. "But...Im her best friend!! And I'll always be there for you!" Dex said almost desperately. Then Fitz stepped in. "Sophie I know you. The real you. Wouldn't it be perfect? I mean were already training to be Cognates! You gotta choose me." Sophie looked around at the three boys. Biana, Tam, and Linh were eating custard bursts and watching them. "Erm well I like you all but... I think... No. I know that the only one for me is..." Everyone leaned in, eager to know. "Valin!" everyone stared for a second and then..."WHAT?!?!?!" But Sophie and Valin were already running across the feilds into the sunset, hand in hand. "Well I guess it was meant to be this way after all." Linh said amused. "True love is always the answer." Biana sighed dreamily. Even Tam smirked and commented "Well I wasn't expecting that. And I don't think Keefe was either." While Dex was sobbing and Fitz was angrily pounding a tree with his fist, Keefe just stood there. Frozen. Unable to talk or move except for his twitching eye. Then he fainted. And thats the way they all stayed, for the rest of eternity. All hopes and dreams crushed. But Sophie and Valin lived happily ever after. Becuase with true love, anything is possible.

Author's Note: Hey guys! Yes I just wrote that and I love it. Of course I don't actually ship Sophie with Valin (Team Foster-Keefe for life), but I always have had this weird thing for him. Plus, my friend hates it when I joke about Sophie ending up with Valin in the end, so naturally I wrote a little one shot about it. Also, I promise that not all my stories are like this, this one was really just a joke. Hope you found the ending as amusing as I did, and try some of my other stories too!
