Chapter 7: I remember

I sat there in shock as she
looked at me "don't you remember how close we use to be?" she asked. I thought hard then I remembered her. We use to be really close when we were kids. We went to parks, school, and everywhere together. Then our parents started getting into arguments all the time.
Soon our mom decided for a divorce, I had to stay with our dad and Skylar had to stay with our mom. When me and Skylar were split up, I never spoke to our mom after that. I looked at Skylar and hugged her. She stiffened and pushed me away,
"ok for future reference, dont touch me unless you want to have a split open throat" She said with no emotion. I looked at her with wide eyes and raised my arms in defense, "ok, ok sorry" I walked back and stood away from her.
I watch as she sharpens her knife with a rock and doesnt look at me as she speaks lowly,"its ok for now, since its been several years since we last saw each other, we both obviously changed alot."
I watched her for a couple minutes then found the courage to speak,"so you're not from here, right? Then how did you find me?"
She looked at me but not in the eye,"our mom is trapped here somewhere, I'm here to find her, on my way to 'Dark Isle' I had a vision of a girl trapped and if I saved her, she would lead me to mom."
I stare at her in shock "what do you mean by 'visions' and how could mom get trapped here?"
