Rachel. She was my best friend, until I told her about my world. She thought I was crazy. We use to hang around at the skating park after everyone left. I remember how her copper colored hair swished back in forth at her shoulders as she walked, how her emerald-green eyes glimmered in the light. Or how her braces shined when she smiled. I never saw her again after that day. I always wonder how life here will turn out. Being the new Queen of the Eastern Side. There are only 3 Queens. There were 4, but sadly she was attacked by a feathery koala. So now there's only The Southern side, who is Queen Tara the sister of the Queen of Hearts. Queen Red was executed by her sister. Now Tara is taking Red's role. Then there is the Northern side, Queen Farleen runs the place, has her slaves that she picks up in the woods. She loves her job. When I say loves she loves. All she does all day is watch her little slaves and any tresspasser to the lands get frozen from the inside-out by the swish of her hand. Starting with the heart. The Western side Queen (may she rest in pieces) was the Queen Opal, nicest Queen there ever has been and ever will be. She smiled even when nothing was good. She brightened everyone's day. She granted blessings on the good and for the bad she gave warnings. Everyone loved her, except for that koala. Then there's me. Queen Sapphire on the Eastern Side. I make sure everyone stays equal with another, and if not. I burn them with fire. Or Tara says I can bring them to her and let her decide there fate. Now enough with that, it's time to see Queen Tara. I walk up to her palace and a shiver runs down my back and I gag at the sight of a headless person laying on the ground for everyone to see as a reminder. I just about knocked on the door when it opened. In the door way was an oddly joyful Queen Tara. She had too much make up on, her hair looked greasy, and there was lipstick on her one crooked tooth. She squealed, grabbed my arm and pulled me in. As she started talking her breath almost killed me, "Oh My Gosh, Sapphy don't I have a surprise for you!" Then she started dragging me down the hall. All I could think about was how bad her breath smelled, and "Sapphy" nobody can call me "Sapphy" what kind of nickname is that??
