Today is the day of the teen choice awards and honestly I'm freaking out. This is the first big event I'm going to since becoming a youtuber. Walking into my bathroom I pull out my products from the white cabinet in the corner and set them inside the shower. I strip down and hop in, letting the warm water run through my hair and down my back. I sing to myself dreaming about tonight. All the possibilities that await me. Maybe I could win this award. Just maybe. I get out of the shower and go back down the hallway to my bedroom. It was now 12 pm and I still had a lot to do. I have to be at the blue carpet at around 4.
I slip into a pink silk shorts and cami top pyjama set and sit at my vanity prepping my face for my makeup. I decided to do a brown and gold smokey eye with a brownish nude lipstick. Lastly I spray my face with my setting spray and check my phone. 2 pm. I brush through my hair, blow drying it and finally curling it. My long blonde hair stopped just on my hips. I walk over to my wardrobe and pull out my beautiful dress. I slipped out of my pyjamas and into my dress, the straps slipping off my shoulders effortlessly. I put on my heels and I walk into the kitchen and grab a breakfast cereal bar, trying not to ruin my lipstick. I walk down to Lexi's room and knock on the door. She opens the door and we both look at each other gasping. Lexi's meeting ran short and she was fortunately able to come tonight.
"Damn girl, Ethan isn't going to be able to keep his eyes off of you tonight." Lexi says.
I laugh and blush at the same time. It had left my mind that Ethan and Grayson were going to be there, and now I'm even more anxious. Lexi was wearing this pale pink dress and a pair of nude heels. We both looked stunning. 15 minutes later our uber had arrived. We both got in and arrived at the forum, where the tca's were being held, and I got out of the car. I stared up into the sky. It was a beautiful night, the stars were out and the moon had come out early as well. I look at Lexi and Lexi looked at me. We nod and make our way towards the blue carpet. I hear paparazzi calling my name and people asking for interviews. I would be lying if I said I didn't feel overwhelmed. I stand against the wall and pose. All I can see are bright lights flashing at me, and all I can hear is the buzz of people calling everyones name. I walk further down the carpet until I'm near the end. Suddenly I hear a cheer and people shouting "Ethan, Grayson, over here!" I turn my head and sure enough there they are. My eyes skim Grayson, but they are drawn to Ethan. He's wearing a blue shirt that clings to his muscles, and his jeans fit him perfectly. He smiles to the cameras with Grayson along him and I can't help but melt inside. I'm brought back to reality when I hear a reporter call my name. I walk over to them to have a quick interview.
"Hey Lauren, Im Holly from teen vogue, I have a few questions and a game for you if you would mind?" She said through her thick American accent.
"Of course" I said smiling.
"Great, ok, so the whole world has been wondering, how did you become so popular on youtube over the past four years?" She asked me.
I thought for a few seconds before giving my reply. "Honestly, I was inspired. I was around two people who brought me so much joy when I was younger, and I thought if I was able to do that, it would be amazing." I said confidently. I was talking about Ethan and Grayson. They really had truly inspired me, and I did owe it all to them.
"Thats really great Lauren, and believe me you really have inspired a lot of people." She said. I smiled to myself, it was nice to have people recognise the hard work I put in to my job.
Holly asked me a few more questions, and then she asked me to play a game.
"Okay, so this is a game we like to play 'Hot or not' do you want to give it a go?" Holly asked me.
"Sure, lets go." I replied.
"Great, ok first person Joe sugg?"
"Hot" I replied.
"Jake Paul?"
"Not" I laughed to myself.
"Liza Koshy?"
"Hot"
"The Dolan Twins?"
My heart stopped. I paused for way too long, it became suspicious, my head was thinking on what to say? Do I say Hot? or do I say not?
"Hot" I finally reply, my heart still beating fast.
"And finally, Pewdiepie?"
"Not" I say.
"Well thank you for joining us Lauren."
"No, thank you" I say.
"Well good luck with your award, we are rooting for you." Holly finally says to me.
"Thank you, I appreciate it and all of you!" I say looking towards the camera the was filming us the whole time. I wave goodbye and I enter the stadium.
Three awards have already been announced, Choice summer song, choice tv series and choice tv actress. Next it was choice female webstar. My heart was pounding as Laura Marano said, "And the nominees are." Up on the screen one by one the nominees came up, there was Bethany mota, Lilly Singh, Niki and Gabi, Eva Gutowski, me and the merrell twins.
I grabbed Lexi's hand and squeeze it tightly, I was so nervous.
"And your winner, of choice female webstar is..."
