Chapter 5 || New Neighbour ||

   On my way home, I spotted Zayn's vintage black Thunderbird by the building where our flat was.

I unlocked the door and walked in, before summoning the elevator down.

Slowing down to a stop on our floor, I walked out and unlocked our door to find Perrie helping Zayn pack his stuff.

" Hey Zayn, hey Perrie. You guys need help with that?" I asked, removing my coat.

" No, not yet. Thanks, you probably need a rest." Perrie smiled.

I turned to Zayn, slightly confused and he just grinned. " I told her about today being your first day to work."

" Yeah, congratulations, Louis! Say, on Friday, we should celebrate! I heard Liam's got good news with Danielle and so does Niall and Alice." She memtioned.

" Great! Our house, Friday. " Zayn smiled.

" So how's the YouTube business going?" I asked.

" Good, it's almost more than enough to pay the bills and expenses. I've been recording some songs for my EP. All the fans have been amazing." Perrie said with a warm smile.

I smiled before going into my room and dressing up into a pair of sweat pants and a grey t-shirt. Slowly walking through the hall to get to the kitchen, I opened the door and saw Perrier and Zayn playing around looking happy and laughing. They looked like such a cute couple. My heart skipped a beat seeing them hug and kiss. I don't fancy Zayn or Perrie in that way. Zayn and I have been best mates since pre-school, and when I told him I was gay, he understood and I made it clear that I saw him as just my mate. Yes, I forgot to mention I was gay. Everyone knows, really - even my parents. Quite strange on how supportive and understanding they were and still are.

The door creaked which grabbed their attention very quick.

I walked through the door nonchalantly and to the kitchen.

" What are you goin' to cook, Lou?" Zayn asked, grabbing the tape gun.

Looking through the fridge, I said, " Erm.. Probably something Greek; I saw some cool beef patties to make. It won't be long."

There was no response, so I proceeded.

Placing the grilling pan on the stove, I then took out a mixing bowl and went to the fridge to get the ingredients.

   Once I was done mixing it with my hands and shaping them, I carefully laid them on the grilling pan and heard then sizzle slightly before I put them all in there.

When I finished cooking them, I made some rice then we ate.

Zayn and Perrie helped me with setting the table, then helped me put the food on the table.

   The next morning felt weird. I was alone and Zayn had managed to pack all his stuff except the bed. He said I could keep everything else he's left behind and turn it into a guest room or something.

Making hot coffee, I got dressed as the water boiled and checked the date.

Christmas was just around the corner and so was my birthday.. and Maya's.

Her birthday was on Friday which was three days from now. Making a mental note to myself to head to the toy store and buy a gift for her later on, I did my bathroom routine then quickly fixed my hair, before going walking back to the kitchen and fixing myself a cuppa.

 

  When I was done with my coffee, I grabbed a muffin from the snack cupboard and headed out to work.

On my way out, I stumbled upon some boxes and fell flat on my back.

Groaning, a man in a navy blue jump suit(that's what I call a denim onesie) helped me up.

" Sorry, mate. I told Johnny to move it by tha' door beside you. He's an idiot bloke, tha' one.. Anyway, I'm sorry 'bout tha'. " The man apologized with a weird smile.

" It's alright," I dusted myself off. " Who's moving in?" I asked.

" Dunno, some young bloke with really fluffy hair. His name's Harry Styles . " He shrugged, then moved the boxes away from my door. I locked my door and walked to the elevator, only to find more boxes crammed in.

Sighing, I took the stairs and mentally prepared myself for the four levels I'll have to go down to.
