CHAPTER 8 CLEANUP TIME

"WHAT? I thought that shutting the console off would have stopped them." Jack said. They rushed out and got at it. "Try biting me now, meat sacks!!!" Jodake said. " Hey, you want some of this, screw you!!!" Jodake said. His right eye turned bright red and he started shooting his sniper rifle, head shooting everyone. "Bless these swords!!!" Katon said and slice! Slice! Slice! Straight down the middle of each of them. "Gearhead, get back to the lab and see if you can figure out how to stop the nanobots!!" Jack said imperatively. "On it!" Gearhead replied. "Johnny, light 'em up!" Jack screamed. "My pleasure!" Johnny said happily. Fwooooosh!! "Fire's good against zombies!" Gearhead said on the intercom. While in the lab, Gearhead tried to get access to the scientist's computer. Bzzz! "Aghh!" the scientist yelped awake. "You, jackass!!" Gearhead said. "Uh, what?!!" the scientist said frustrated.

"What's the passcode?!" Gearhead asked. "I'm not telling you anything!" the scientist said angrily. Gearhead grabbed him by the shoulder and zapped him. "Agh!! Ok!!! Mind control! Mind control! M-I-N-D C-O-N-T-R-O-L!"

"Ok sit down and shut up!" Gearhead said. He put it in and the computer opened. It said Execute? "This says execute. Execute what nerd?" "The mind control program!!!" The scientist said. He clicked it and the levels of the mind control were going down. "I got it Jack!" "Now that that's taken care of we can wipe this thing clean so you can't make any more zombies." Gearhead said.

"HEY, you can't do that!" the scientist yelled running at him.

"Silence fool," Gary replied firing a ball of electricity from his hand and knocking the scientist out cold, again. Gearhead then proceeded to work his magic with his new abilities "Okay got this thing set to format and shut down Time to get outta here. Ya know maybe later on we can turn this building into a communal space or something." he said to himself as he walked out the door to meet the others. "Hey guys! All finished inside. we can go home now." he called to the others holding his hand up to guard his face against the bright sunlight. "Alright but first we need to get those construction workers back safely remember." Jack said.

"Hey ya'll shouldn't we do something about these amalgamations first." Jodake called while trying to slice parts of them away from the wall. "Good idea, I'll call Levi this looks like something he would be good at." Jack replied

"Yes, I know, we'll have this mess cleaned up quickly." Levi said sharply and promptly launched himself up onto the wall and he, Katon and Jodake rapidly began hacking at the corpses, letting the pieces fall to Johnny below who quickly burned them to ashes. Meanwhile Karen and Asaka were sweeping up said ashes. After a while the group had finally returned the building to a state that didn't make it look like something from a horror film or a corpse dump. "Well it looks like that's everything," Asaka declared.

"You did really well out there sweetie." Jack praised Karen,kissing her on the cheek.

"Great job out there, Asaka!" Katon complimented. "Humph. It's, not like I was out there to help you, idiot" Asaka protested but blushing. Katon smiled sweetly and patted her on the head. "Come on, you lovebirds. Come on, back on the bus we've got to get these workers back to their place, then we've got get ourselves back to our place." Jack said as he and Karen climbed aboard the Psycho Serpent. The ride back was pretty uneventful, mostly with Jodake and Joseph getting fully acquainted with each other and the others taking it easy. At some point Karen and Jack fell asleep in each other's arms and one dared trying to wake them. The next morning the crew woke and had breakfast as usual. This time it was Karen and Jack's turn to cook and they made quite a spread. After everyone got enough to eat they all went to the foyer and piled onto the couches and chairs Jack clicked on the TV to the news channel.
