Bryce's POV

"Mikey your gonna be alright. Just don't go towards the light"

"Bryce I'm so tired"

"I know Mikey but you gotta stay awake. The paramedics are on there way"

I stared at the injured boy. I held him in my arms hoping it's not time for him to go. The love of my life can't die.

4 hours before // Bryce's POV

Me, Mikey and the friends are talking about what we should do this weekend.

"Let's all go bowling" Jackson said

"Yeah let's go bowling" Nick and Mikey said together and laughed

"I'm down with bowling"

"Same" Dylan and Nicole said while texting who ever

"Then it's settled. Bowling this Friday?"

Everyone agreed Friday was a good day to go bowling. The bell soon rang and we all headed to class. My first 4 period went by so quick. There's only 6 periods for me this semester. The other two I get to go home. Same goes for Mikey. It was lunch and we were all sitting at table. All that was heard was the sound of chatting teenagers when suddenly

*boom boom boom

Three gun shots heard from the hallways. Everyone was running out the doors trying to get out. I grabbed Mikey's hand and started for the door. The rest of the gang followed behind but then the person responsible for the shooting was standing down the hall. We all broke away from the crowd. We headed down the halls and upstairs.

"Was i the only one who saw who that was?" Mikey said very shocked

"I thought you said Tayler was cool with all of us" Nicole said

"That's What he told me"

"Ok we all just need to calm down. He can't get all of us. Jackson and Dylan go hide in an empty classroom. Nick and Nicole go hide in the library. Me and Mikey will hide in the restroom" I said very demanding

Everyone looked at me and grabbed there partners hand. They took off and I hoped they'd be alright.

"Call the police all of you as well" I yelled after them

I grabbed Mikey's hand and went to the third floor restroom. Locked the door and went to the last stall to hide. Mikey was on his phone watching the news. The word got out and the police were outside. The school was on lock down and we were the only ones in. As Mikey was watching I called the police

"9-1-1. What is your emergency?"

"Yes hello my name is Bryce Hall and I'm in the school lockdown. Like I'm literally inside the school with the shooter"

"Stay calm sir. I'm going to transfer you to a police man on the scene"

I waited for a minute. The longest minute I've ever had in my life. Then I heard someone.

"Are you still there?"

"Um yes"

"Ok. I need you to be very calm. How many are you in there?"

"There's 6 of us including me"

"Are you all together?"

"No we scatter about. Two are located in the library and the other two are located in an empty classroom. Room 212 to be exact. As for me I'm in the restroom with boyfriend"

"Ok good. Going to many spots was a smart idea. Now do you know where the shooter is?"

"No but I know who it is"

"Who?"

"Tayler Holder"

"Ok. We will try to get official in there soon —but before he could finish I heard a bang on the door. "He outside the door. Please. The other four are on the 2nd floor. Please get them first"

"We're going in the school. I and other are headed to the third floor. Give us 10 minutes" then call ended

The banging ended and I held onto Mikey's hand so hard. Telling him to be as quiet as he could be. Then bam the lock was busted off with the gun.

"Mikey I know your in here" Tayler said

I stood in front of Mikey to shield him. Then Tayler stood in front us

"Hurt Me Tayler. Not Mikey" I said while holding Mikey behind me

"Awe but that's not gonna happen"

Without knowing Tayler hit me with the gun knocking me out.

Mikey's POV

I watched in fear as I saw Tayler knock Bryce out. Tayler was approaching me. Slowly bringing the gun but I reacted and charged at him. We fought for the until boom. I look down to see Tayler was shot. We looked at each other and then he fee to ground.

I went over to Bryce to see how he was. He slowly waking when I heard something.

"Mikey it's not gonna be that easy" I turned to see Tayler standing in a limp form

"Tayler just leave me alone" I yelled

Tayler pulled out a knife and charged for me. We fought. I try with all my strength to keep him from me. Then I felt a sharp pain hit the side of my body. I looked down to Tayler stabbed me. I fell to the ground and scooted toward the wall.

"Now to finish what I started" He was approaching me when a boom went off. I saw Tayler's body jerk and hole through head.

"Not my boyfriend asshole" Bryce said

He walked over and held me

Bryce's POV

Then the police man I talked to earlier finally showed up

"Took you time huh"

"Very sorry. Can we get this kid some help"

And with that they gently carried Mikey and put him on a gurney. I walked right beside them as they went from the third floor to the first. We walked outside to be greeted by many reporters. I ignored all of them and stayed by Mikey's side.

"Bryce. What's wrong with Mikey?" A worried Nicole asked as she approached with tears

"He was stabbed. Meet us at the hospital" I watched her nod her head and head over the rest of the gang and into there car

"Are you family?" A paramedic asked me

"Yes" and I stepped into the ambulance and prayed that Mikey would be alright.
