Thick droplets of rain poured out from the navy swept sky and crashed onto the rough gravel beneath seungmins aching feet. the rapid melody of his footsteps reverberated off the now drenched walls of looming buildings around him as he continued his sprint further and further away from the epicentre of all his suffering. resentful yelling trailed off into the distance and the brunette had an idea who it was. pushing his thoughts to the back of his mind, he continued to venture deeper into the city. the howls behind him became quieter and quieter until finally he was left with the bitter song of the gloomy rainclouds.

The now fogged up windows of the cozy diner were starting to clear as the pale boy nestled deeper into the bench at his chosen booth, observing the outside world. The rain had become lighter and now echoed a steady drizzle throughout the yellow tinted parlour. beads of glossy rain trickled down the window and pooled at the rim of the glass, hyunjin had found great interest in this and was now staring at the tinted window completely forgetting about the warm latte in front of him. finally he managed to tear his eyes away from the bland sight as he spotted a soaking wet and slender male in the doorway. his lips slowly parted as he observed the angelic features.

he stared in awe at the boys plump lips and sparkling eyes. the way his sunkissed brown hair was tousled and slightly damp becauses of the rain and how it framed his pretty structure. the dusty rose on his round cheeks from running so much made him just that little bit more adorable and with his mouth still agape all he could think was that he truly was beautiful.

hyunjin continued to follow his gaze and watch as the boy moped towards the bar with his baby blue cardigan flowing behind him (im still figuring out the whole cross dressing thing so this is what i came up with sorry if its not very accurate). he slumped down on a fluorescent red bar stool, his head now sunken into his shaky hands and the older couldn't help but stand and make his way over to the seat next to the unknown beauty. he perched himself comfortably in the chair and mustered up enough courage to speak to him.

"rough day?" he chuckled, averting his gaze.

"yeah you could say that" seungmin scoffed lifting his eyes slightly to locate where this husky voice was coming from. his face instantly lit up as he caught sight of the boys profile. he couldnt bear to look away as he was too engrossed in observing his glowing features.

"so what's your name" the older older asked finally turning to make eye contact.

"uh im kim seungmin, you are" he smiled softly as the other introduced himself.
"hwang hyunjin nice to meet you" the aforementioned extended his hand to shake the others gently.

the two continued through the evening musing away about their lives, school and how they liked living in Korea. the conversation was suddenly cut off at hyunjins sudden choice of words

"you know, you're very pretty kim seungmin" the raven haired spoke nonchalantly staring straight ahead.

"excuse me?" the brunette muttered at how forward the man was being

"I said you're very pretty kim seungmin" he repeated, turning to face the flustered boy.

"o-oh thanks, you are too i guess" he mustered up a small smile, continuing to twiddle his thumbs.

"i guess?" Hyunjin challenged playfully

"n-no i didn't mean it like t-that" the shorter male stuttered

"i'm just joking, i know what you meant"

An awkward silence now lingered in the musty air of the diner as the two boys darted their gaze around the interior.

As it wasn't too late, around 7:30pm the two decided to take a walk through the town. It was still relatively light outside apart from a couple dull coloured clouds hanging low in the lilac sky. a warm breeze was wafting around the streets and chirps of strangers filled the air with a low tune.

various food trinkets around shops caught seungmins eyes and his excitable persona was maintained throughout the night. hyunjin on the other hand grew tired and his walking pace slowed significantly, despite being dragged around by a hyper 18 year old.

"seungmin i think i'm gonna head home its getting dark but it was nice meeting you, let me get your number and we can hang out more" he groaned out of fatigue

"oh okay" the younger chuckled and they exchanged numbers.

"ill see you round" hyunjin smiled and pulled the boy into a soft hug

they turned and started to go their separate until seungmin stopped remembering he had just escaped his home because of his abusive ex-boyfriend. hesitantly he stared at the ground and turned slowly to call for hyunjin. "whats wrong?" the older asked, a tinge of worry in his voice because of the others anxious expression.

"is it okay if i go to yours, i um.. don't really have anywhere to go" the brunette whispered slightly embarrassed

"oh yeah sure, how come though" hyunjin was trying to make eye contact but the shorter male would't comply. he placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and seungmin flinched at the sudden contact. "its okay you don't have to say, lets just go its getting cold"

he took the boys reddened and freezing hand in his and they padded steadily through the city, without exchanging any words. they weaved their way through clusters of people and hyunjin squeezed seungmins hand gently, reassuring the glum boy every things okay.
