^iM so sorry but i deadass laughed at that for like 4 days so

"So now that we're lab partners, maybe my grade in this class will finally go up." i laughed, sitting down next to Noah. Noah smiled slightly and looked down at his lap, blushing. He was definitely quiet. But, at least i was sure he didn't hate me anymore.

"yeah, we have uh-a uh project." Noah cleared his throat. i groaned, searching through my backpack. "Mr. K's got a real stick up his ass i swear." Noah laughed and i felt my worry fade a little. "can we come in during lunch to work on it?" Noah asked shyly, not making direct eye contact. "eh sure. better start it early."

"and you're sure Mr.K is letting us work in here alone?" i asked as i walked into the room. Noah nodded, "he always lets me work in here." i raised an eyebrow, "teacher's pet bonuses, huh?" Noah shrugged, "Yeah i guess. Did you bring the outline?"

i replied by handing him the sheet and he smiled as i sat across from him. After looking it over for a second, he let out a sigh. "He's probably not gonna be too lenient on the project." i rolled my eyes, smiling. "When is he ever lenient?" Noah smiled back and then went quiet, staring at me. "You-you have a pretty smile b-by the way." Noah stuttered, blushing.

i stared at him for a moment in surprise before nodding, "thanks...you too." He looked away and i mentally sighed, this was gonna be a long ass project.

"And then he said i had a pretty smile." i said, my head laying on Finn's lap. Finn raised an eyebrow, "only i can say that." i laughed, "You're the only who I'd want to say that." Finn smiled down at me with content. "He's been acting weird lately, like the other night at your house." He added suddenly, now looking uncomfortable.

"He probably likes jack." Sophia shrugged, walking over and sitting down. "What?" Finn and i said in unison, Finn's voice sounding significantly angrier. Sophia shrugged, "i mean it seems kinda obvious."

"That's not okay." Finn said sternly. "Listen, i don't think he really likes jack. i think he's just confused." Finn looked even more confused after she said that. "What do you mean confused?" Finn furrowed his brows.

"Well after everything went down in between you two, he probably had doubts....and you and jack are similar-" "We are not similar." i interrupted. Finn nodded, laughing. "jackie is a cute lil angel and I'm more like a big ass demon who likes to kick children." He smirked, sarcastically.

Sophia just stared at him. "Okay, listen here hoe-" She leaned forward, a hand raised in warning. "-listen to what i say because I'm the only one hear who makes any damn sense." Finn went to open his mouth, but she quickly cut him off. "Got it, Wolfhard?" Finn rolled his eyes and gave her a slight nod.

"Now, Jack's gonna go over to Noah's house one day this week to work on the project and see if Noah-" "WHAT THE FUCK. HELL NO. HELL TO THE NO. NOPE. NO ONE IS TOUCHING MY JACK, SOPHIA. DON'T MAKE ME HARM YOUR MAN CHOSEN YOU GINGER BITCH-" "excuse you? What did you just call me?" Sophia stopped him, squinting her eyes and sitting more straight up.

Finn's mouth hung open, slightly. "I-uh-I think that's a great idea." He replied through gritted teeth. "Huh." Sophia smirked, leaning back. "Could have sworn you said something else....guess it was just me. Oh wait, I remember now,you mocked my hair." She smiled. "Yeah well you're certainly one to talk, Sinjin Van Cleef, but glad we all agreed on my plan." And with that, she got up and left. Finn cursed under his breath.

"Is this gonna go terribly wrong?" i whispered to Sophia, Millie, and Sadie as we pulled up in front of Noah's house. "You'll be fine, love. Nothing to worry abou-" "it'll probably go terribly for you." Sophia interrupted Millie, shoving another handful of chips in her mouth.

Millie shot her a look. "Don't listen to Sophia. You'll be fine." Sadie leaned forward from the backseat, "Worst case scenario, you realize you're madly in love with him and you leave Finn a crying, broken mess." I stared at her, my eyes growing wide as her and Sophia giggled. Millie hit Sadie's arm, Sadie yelping out in pain.

"Why must you guys always do this? Spread positivity and promote positivity. It's not that hard. Finn loves jack and jack loves-" "okay, okay, mills. We get it. We can kick jack out now." Sadie replied, giving me a small shove. I shook my head, smiling. "Wish me luck." "Of course we will-" I began to hear Millie say before Sadie interrupting and yelling, "Glad i got to meet you before you died, grazer!"

We were busy with a poster board and Noah kept offering me a variety of snacks. "It's fine, Noah, i swear." i laughed. "I'm not hungry."
Noah smiled shyly, "right, sorry. Let's just work."

It was slightly silent for a few minutes, a few shared murmured discussing the data. It wasn't until i placed a piece o paper on the board that Noah set his hand on mine. i slowly looked up to meet his eyes. Ah shit. "Jack." He said quietly. "Yes, Noah?" He didn't respond. He just began to lean in.
