Only  two people in my life did anything for me. The first is Eren. After I had him, I felt so happy. You can't compare the love of a mother to anything else. It's impossible. Eren, he gave me a purpose. I must protect him at all cost, no matter what; and no one will get in my way.

The second person is Levi. He is my only friend. He reunited Eren and I. That enough means the world to me. He risked his job to hide my secret, the reason I ever signed up for this job. Now he gave me a way to protect not only Eren, but myself.

'Run away,' he had said; and I listened.

I kept the hood of my dark cloak up to keep my ears warm in the cold night. My dress had some dirt on the bottom hem from the dirty road. It was to dark to reread the address a tenth time, but I had memorized it.

Everytime I stepped to walk, the ground made a tiny crunch. My arms formed goosebumps as another cold wind swooped past me. The place of the address was only a day away, if I walked all night, I could be there by tomorrow night.

I knew I wasn't in a town, rather far from one. I was within some forest, walking along a dirt trail. It was made for wagons, not meant to be walked on. I grew even more tired with every step. As bad as I wanted to keep going, I couldn't.

I finally stopped and caught myself from fainting. I walked about 20 feet into the mass of trees. I didn't have the strength to climb a tree at the moment. My feet were blistered and sore. I couldn't do anything but fall on the ground, and I did.

I landed on my side and began to so loudly. I was alone, so no one could hear. My baby is dead, so I really am alone.

I cried myself to sleep.

The rising sun's rays forced my eyes open. I fluttered them for a moment before opening them fully. An orange leaf had fallen from the tree and landed on my face. I lightly blew it off and repositioned myself so I could stand. I leaned against the tree and wiped away my remaining tears.

I had to be strong, I had to make it through this.

Nothing could keep me from finally living the remainder of my days with Eren. I slowly walked forward to set upon my journey again. The address was a day away. I wondered what it was? A home of a family he knew? What could this mysterious place be? I could only hope it was someplace safe. Levi wouldn't send me somewhere dangerous.

The leaves of different colors crunched under my feet. The ground was wet and sticky from the morning dew. It seemed peaceful, but the day before me would be tiring.
The sound of wheels rolling against the ground perked up my ear. The cart stopped right beside me and the horse neighed.

"Why hello, little lady!" The driver shouted.
It was man, probably about forty or so. He was alone, "It's not often I see a pretty little girl walking this road. Where are you heading to darlin'?"

"An address. Can you tell me where it is?" I asked.

The man looked at the paper as I held it up, he raised a brow. "Are you sure this is the right place?"

"Yes. I'm very sure." I said. There's no way in hell it could be wrong.

"If you insist ma'am." He said, "I'm heading to that town, you can ride along if you like."

I smiled and nearly jumped for joy, "Oh you would let me?! Thank you so much!" The man smiled as I hopped into the cart and nestled into the hay. It would certainly be better than walking. I'm so thankful that most people around me have showed kindness.

Pretty soon I would be reunited with my son, and we could be safe together.

_____________

"Little girl, we're in town!" I heard. I opened my eyes to see the man who let me ride in his cart. I clutched the paper in my palm, "Thanks again!!"

We parted ways and I noticed it was already evening. Not too many people are out at this time. I figured I have more luck finding this place in the morning so my search for a tavern room began.

I modestly walked along a dirt road, not in the way of passing people. The town was quiet at this time of day. The sun was setting, creating a red and orange cast over the sky. I noticed a stand was still open, one that sold apples and other fruit.
"Excuse me, may I purchase an apple? I'm quick hungry." I explained. My voice was soft and slight scratchy, not expecting the outcome I cringed at it.

"It's on the house, ma'am" the standowner said, handing it to me free of charge. He was rather short, but not as short as Levi. "You are a very kind, Thank you..." I made my way on then.

                       __________

"Eren?! EREN?!" My voice was loud, but not commanding. In the distance I saw his Titan, but it was different. It was not the fifteen meter class I knew so well. Everything was more...terrifyingly dreadful. He towered over the wall, nearly blocking the sun. He was so large that his skeleton couldn't be covered.

My instincts told me to save him, to avoid this whole mess and yet I can't bring myself to do it. "EREEEEEEN!" I screamed as I lost all hope of living for myself. My feet carried me towards him, towards my son who turned into a monster. Another instinct kicked in, without hesitation I cleanly bit off my thumb. Lightning struck the ground behind me as the body of my Titan formed from thin air.

All this time I've been...

                   ____________

"A shifter?!" I sat up in bed, terrified, u unknowning what to do. Hanji what have you done to me?! What have you done to my son?
