finn gloomily walked into school, he hadn't talked to jack since sunday evening when he texted him and asked him to come over.

"hey finn!" millie greeted him, he smiled at her but kept walking. she hurried to catch back up with him. "what's troubling you?" she asked, finn shook his head. "i'll talk to you later," he said, millie looked confused as finn walked away, but he could care less. all he wanted was to talk to jack.

finn's eyes widened when he saw jack talking to sophia lilis, he felt a pang of jealousy inside his chest. jack had said something about having feelings for sophia a while back, but since he and finn started dating about 9 months ago, i thought that he was just confused.

finn continued to watch him and sophia, she walked her fingers up his chest and slid her hand across his cheek. sophia pulled the collar of jack's shirt forward so their lips weren't even inches apart. sophia closed the space and kissed jack. finn's heart broke. he walked up to jack and sophia and cleared his throat.

"jack?" finn asked, jack visibly stiffened. "f-finn," jack smiled, he had pulled away from sophia as soon as he heard me cough.

"i told you i love you and i meant that shit," finn said, "fuck off, finn," sighed jack.

jack looked at finn with a blank expression, finn turned around and walked out the doors he'd walked through to get into the school.

finn grabbed his skateboard and started home. the cold air pierced his skin, his oversized sweatshirt helped, though. he tugged at his sleeves, he made a promise. he can't be such a baby. his wrists began to itch, that's all he could focus on. when finn got near the park close to his house, he fell off of his skate board when it hit some loose pavement.

finn's hands hit the ground first, he yelped and rolled into the grass. "fuck," he hissed, he looked at his hands, which were cut up. his face stung, he ran his fingers up across his cheeks which were . his me studied his body, his sleeves were torn and his arms were semi-slashed up from the concrete.

"fuck fuck fuck!" he yelled, not just because his whole body stung, but also because he stung on the inside too. jack cheated on him with sophia, in public too. how could jack do that to him?

finn picked up his skateboard and limped over to the swings, he sat down and sadly dragged his feet on the ground as he pumped his legs.

"finn?" someone asked, finn shot his head up, his eyes set on his friend jaeden, who very rarely went to school.

"jaeden. what are you doin here?" finn asked, his voice broke as he spoke. "wyatt sent me after you, he saw you leaving and he's caught on that you've been pretty down lately.

"no shit," finn mumbled, jaeden sat down on the swing next to he curly haired boy.

"i know life can be tough, it's like that for everyone. but finn, i know you're fragile when life gets hard, i wanna be a good friend and be here for you, so does wyatt. please, talk to me," jaeden pleaded, finn held his face in his hands, crying.

"finn what's wrong?" jaeden asked, his voice soft and comforting. "jack! jack's what's wrong!" finn croaked, everything hurt.

"jack he- he cheated on me. we just got out of our rough patch and he had to go kiss sophia," finn cried, jaeden looked at finn with sad eyes.

"finn that's terrible. is this why you've been so sad?" the brown haired boy asked, finn shook his head no.

"i haven't been taking my medicine because i thought jack made me better," finn furrowed his eyes and let out a sob.

jaeden rubbed finn's back comfortingly, he didn't want to cross any boundaries so he didn't ask finn about the medicine, he hadn't known finn took medicine, but he could guess what it was for.

"finn, i want you to be happy honey," jaeden sighed, finn nodded his head. "you need to take your medicine, even if you don't want to,"

"i know," finn nodded, jaeden sighed and closed his eyes, he pulled his hand away from finn's back. finn sat up and looked at him.

"were you hurt?" jaeden asked, finn shook his head, "i fell off my skateboard," finn giggled, jaeden's eyes wandered finn's torn up figure until he reached his sleeves, which were ripped.

jaeden saw concrete burn and something else, he didn't take a closer look until finn looked away. jaeden saw thin lines on finn's arm, which made him queasy.

"please, finn- if you ever need to talk, i'll always be here for you. don't ever hesitate to call me, or text me,  no matter the situation," jaeden said, finn nodded and sniffled.

"thanks jaeden," finn smiled at the brown haired bow, he returned the gesture. "i should get going," said finn, he waved goodbye to jaeden and skated home to wash up and decide whether or not he was going to go back to school.
