Late evening
The two ended up eating at a western themed restaurant in awkward silence. Hyuk wasn't technically pleased with it, mostly because he'd thought that they would spend more time talking and getting to know each other.
The younger desperately wanted to start a conversation but didn't know how to. Why wasn't Hong Bin saying anything?!
"Hyuk-ah, you're staring at your food. Does it not suit your taste?"
Hyuk snapped put of his trance and gave a small awkward laugh, picking up his utensils.
"I'm just thinking," Hyuk laughed. "The food's great, don't worry."
Hong Bin looked up at him. "A penny for your thoughts?"
Hyuk waved his hand dismissively and continued with his food. As much as he wanted to tell Hong Bin what he'd felt, he couldn't. It sounded too desperate and the last thing Hyuk wanted, was Hong Bin thinking he was clingy or obsessed with him.
"So Hyukkie, are you going to university?"
"Yep. The one nearest to my home," Hyuk explained and gave Hong Bin a warm smile.
"I'll be enrolling the same time as you then? I'm a year older but I wanted a break before school again."
Hyuk's heart skipped a beat and wondered whether they would end up in the same lectures. It would be a blessing if they did.
"This is the most quiet dinner I've ever been to," Hong Bin said as he attempted to converse with Hyuk.
He could tell Hyuk was eager to talk to him and was probably too shy to do so. Bit by bit, Hong Bin felt more and more attracted to Hyuk physically and emotionally. Maybe it was the maknae's cute giggle or his adorable personality. Whatever it was, it was the first time Lee Hong Bin felt like having something more with another person.
"Loosen up and look at me," Hong Bin laughed quietly at Hyuk. "I wanna know more about you."
Hyuk gave Hong Bin another nervous laugh and ate a big mouth of his steak. The sight of Hyuk's puffy cheeks made Hong Bin want to pinch them and maybe plant a small kiss on them.
"We better finish up and make our way to the cinema. Tickets sell fast at this hour," Hong Bin pointed out.
Night
The cinema, as Hong Bin had predicted, was packed and filled with people all over. Taking this opportunity, Hong Bin wrapped his arm around Hyuk's shoulders and guided them through the crowd. The older was slightly shorter and smaller than Hyuk, but he still carried on till they reached the ticketing counter.
"I'm sorry but for this one, only the couple seats at the back are left? Is that okay with your friend?", the lady asked.
Hyuk was going to protest but he'd opened his mouth a little too late.
"Thats okay, one couple seat please," Hong Bin told the lady and didn't even turn to look at Hyuk once.
Which was something Hyuk was very grateful for because he was sure his face was a blushing mess. He felt his entire being tense up at the thought of sharing couple seats with the elder.
It's just a seat, nothing special. Han Sang Hyuk stop it! He cursed mentally as the pair went to collect their popcorn.
"You like like you're about to burst..?", Hong Bin asked Hyuk as they walked to the theatre.
"Me? No, maybe because it's a horror film," Hyuk quickly said as he bit his tongue to stop himself from rambling.
Hong Bin smiled and showed his infamous dimples to Hyuk. "I'm horrified too actually. But you're physically bigger than me so I'm counting on you to protect me."
The elder laughed and pressed the side of his face onto Hyuk's shoulder as they entered the theatre. Thank god the lights were dim because Hyuk could feel his face heat up again.
The effect this hyung is having on me ...
