Part Time // VIXX HyukBin

Day 4

Morning

"Hello! Oh you're dressed nicely today," Hyuk greeted as he took the envelope from Hong Bin.

The pretty boy smiled and thanked Hyuk. "I'm going over to a friend's house before an interview."

Hyuk looked up at Hong Bin and tilted his head, making the latter chuckle a little.

"Interview?"

"Yep," Hong Bin chirped. "I might a full time job that pays higher."

Hyuk felt his heart drop. Full time job? On one hand he was elated and happy for Hong Bin. But on the other hand, he felt disappointed.

"Are you quiting this job if you do get hired?", Hyuk asked softly, trying to hide his disappointment.

It didn't go unnoticed by Hong Bin though. Even though he'd met Hyuk a few days ago, he could sense that the younger had a small liking for him.

"I can't decide for now but we'll just have to see," Hong Bin explained and secretly smiled on the inside.

Truth be told, he wasn't actually planning on getting a job nor was he going for an interview. Teasing Hyuk like that was probably evil but it was amusing, to say the least.

"Oh and by the way, tell Mr Jung his newsletter subscription is expiring this week. Bye!," Hong Bin waved as he walked away from Hyuk.

Late afternoon

Hyuk dialled the same number the umpteenth time and waited for a response from the person on th other line.

"Hello?", the other person finally answered.

"Hakyeon-hyung!", Hyuk exclaimed. "Do you have the previous tenant's number?"

Hakyeon paused for a second. "... Yes, why?"

"His newsletter subscription is gonna be over-"

"Oh god, have you opened them? The envelopes I mean," Hakyeon asked with a hint of worry in his voice.

"No? So do you have his number?", Hyuk asked again.

The younger heard faint sounds chains before another man was put on the line.

"This is Jung Taekwoon. You want me to renew the subscriptions? To that house?"

"Yes please-"

"Why?", Taekwoon asked and for some reason, Hyuk thought he heard Taekwoon whimper a bit.

"I need the paper for house cleaning..? I'll pay the fees to Hakyeon right after if you want," Hyuk smiled as he waited for a reply. What a lame excuse that was.

"Okay, I'll do it tonight- ah!"

Hyuk frowned as Taekwoon hung up the phone. Did Taekwoon just moan before he hung up? The younger let mind wander a bit and shivered when he started to think inappropriately.

What was the previous owner doing with Hakyeon anyway? He didn't bother, as long as those newsletters kept coming.
