What even is this chapter tbh I love this story a lot bc it doesn't follow a plot it's just random bits of Uni!Hyukbin and I live for it⭐️😔

I didn't edit so excuse the errors.

Hyuk holds onto his luggage and balls his free hand into a fist. He flinches as he hears Hong Bin again.

"Just leave already for fuck's sake!", Hong Bin yells, anger taking over his sense of rationality in the heat of the moment.

Holding back his tears, hyuk swallows thickly and exits their shared house, silently praying Hong Bin would have calmed down when he came back.

Hyuk was called for an overseas school trip and was only going to be back in a week's time. Hong Bin had known about it and was nonchalant about it, but maybe not anymore. School stress and their busy schedules kept them apart, and each of their bad habits started slowly showing. Hyuk came to learn how Hong Bin was a neat freak, cleaning and dusting the house at every opportunity while he was the opposite, only doing what was mandatory and expected, nothing more.

The older finally snapped when he had over three projects due and found Hyuk's clothes in a pile, unwashed. On the way to give Hyuk a piece of his mind, he grew even more irritated seeing Hyuk's dishes undone, and the kitchen a mess after cooking lunch.

"Han San fucking Hyuk! Why can't you do your own chores?"

"Later babe, I'm busy."

"So am I? Please have some responsibility!"

"Shush, I'm trynna pack my luggage I have that trip tomorrow morning."

"And you're packing at only one in the morning? Dear god, get your life together and complete your chores too please-"

"Oh my god shut the fuck up! I need to-"

Hong Bin gritted his teeth and glared at Hyuk. "Fine do whatever the fuck you want, I'm done."

Thinking back Hong Bin sighed and cursed out loud in the empty house. Hyuk had left hours ago and the guilt was building up on him. He felt so selfish and sobbed uncontrollably, hoping that Hyuk was safe and wished that he'd told the younger that he love him. His breakdown led to negative thoughts and anxiety caught up to him. What if Hyuk didn't come back? What if Hyuk didn't want him any longer?

Hong Bin picked up his phone and hastily called his boyfriend. No answer. He panicked for a brief second before remembering Hyuk would've been in the plane by now. Signing in exasperation, the boy decided to wash Hyuk's dirty clothes and did his dishes. At least it helped him forget the dull aching in his heart temporarily.

*****

6 days had gone by in a blink of an eye and Hong Bin was this close to crumbling from his immense and ever-growing guilt. He hadn't found the courage to call Hyuk and was upset the latter didn't call either. Then again, he has every right to hate me.

Hong Bin felt fresh tears prickling the corners of his eyes and screamed into his pillow loudly. This was the first time he had fucked up, and he'd fucked up big time. With shaky hands and a runny nose, he decided to call Hyuk. He couldn't stand it anymore, the way his heart crushed whenever he thought of his boyfriend.

"Hong Bin?"

"H-Hyukie, I'm so sorry. Don't leave me, I didn't mean what I had said! I love you, so so so much, so please don't be mad at me. I was so angry I wasn't thinking straight-"

Hong Bin was a sobbing mess again and he struggled to convey his message across, hiccuping violently while trying to form words. Hyuk was beyond concerned and tried calming his partner down.

"Hong Bin, breathe it's okay. Everything's fine, just don't die over the phone yeah?", Hyuk joked and cleared his throat. "You still there?"

"Yeah," Hong Bin sounded so small and vulnerable, Hyuk wanted to go over that instant to wrap him in his arms.

"I'm not mad at you, don't over think alright? I said things I shouldn't have said too. I'll be back tomorrow and we'll talk things out."

"Okay," the older wiped his puffy red eyes as he replied.

"Ah, my lecturer is calling for me. See you soon Binnie, love you!"

"Lo-"

The one at home pouted when the line got cut off before he was even finished. Just one more day. A few more hours and he could see his precious boyfriend's face again. Hong Bin smiled, the first time in a few days.

*****

Hyuk felt instant relief flooding his blood after putting down the phone. Running back to his classmates and lecturer, he pursed his lips into a smile and it didn't go unnoticed by his classmates.

"Eesh, Hyuk finally made up with his boyfriend."

"Oh god, he's literally glowing and radiating happiness."

"He's probably getting head when he returns."

Hyuk laughs and shakes his head at their silly comments. He didn't deny it though, that he was happy that Hong Bin hadn't meant what he said and it was an honest mistake. Maybe I am getting head when I- Han Sang Hyuk NO!

"I can't wait to get home."

*****

In the absence of his boyfriend for a week, Hong Bin had only begun his work on the very last day, meaning he'd been rushing from the wee hours in the morning till now to complete them before the deadline.

The poor student had been so occupied with worry and doubt that it hindered his motivation for work. Now he was paying the price for it, although, he was close to finishing.

Hong Bin placed his pencil down and kept the stack of books aside when he heard the main door click. He ran out of the room and attacked Hyuk with a death-squeezing hug.

"Okay, okay, I'm gonna fall if you don't release me," Hyuk joked and steadied himself against the door frame.

Hong Bin blushed and let go, helping the younger bring his luggage into the kitchen. Hyuk went up first and locked himself in the shower, quickly washing himself up so that he could go over and hug Hong Bin as soon as possible.

As he stepped out, Hyuk found Hong Bin in the kitchen trying to prepare something for him. The younger walked and hugged the bean from behind, pressing his cheek on Hong Bin's neck. It had only been a week but damn did he miss his most favourite person in the world.

"Go get chopsticks I made ramen. You must be hungry," Hong Bin stated and turned his head to peck Hyuk's forehead.

"I'm hungry for you," Hyuk turned off the stove and spun Hong Bin around.

His grip on the back of Hong Bin's neck was firm and Hyuk went in for a slow, savoury kiss. Hong Bin found his hands running through Hyuk's wet strands, tilting their heads to deepen their kiss.

"Oh god, I missed you," Hyuk pulled out and hugged Hong Bin, panting slightly from their exchange.

"I'm so sorry. I don't ever want you to leave me, I'm sorry," Hong Bin started choking on his tears again.

Hyuk pats and rubs his hands on Hong Bin's back, silencing the latter slowly. It hurt to see his boyfriend cry, and it was partly his fault too.

The younger squished Hong Bin's cheeks and have him a cute smile. "Stop crying okay? I was in the wrong too and I'm really sorry. I promise I'll get my shit together okay? Don't cry anymore Bin-ah."

Hong Bin nods and giggled happily, letting Hyuk wipe away his tears. "The noodles are gonna get soggier if you don't eat them now."

Hyuk hums cheerfully and sets the pot down, slurping his noodles as Hong Bin rests his head on the table, waiting for his boyfriend to finish.
