Sophia sighed as she settled Junior down for the night; Cristiano hadn’t come home after training leaving Sophia free to do as she pleased, she didn’t have to pretend that she didn’t know that he was seeing another woman even if they were engaged.
Looking at the little boy, Sophia couldn’t help but wonder how much her life was going to change when she finally became Mrs Cristiano Ronaldo; she knew that it was only a matter of time and it made her worry.
Suzanna and Dolores were begging for the blonde and Cristiano to set a date sometime next year, they didn’t want the two to drag this out for long; however Sophia and Cristiano didn’t talk about the wedding or even their engagement when they were together.
It sort of reminded Sophia of when they had been close friends, before he had become the arrogant footballer that everyone knew; she had missed Cristiano and was glad that things were working out for them now.
Sophia smiled as she watched Junior fall asleep before she left the nursery and headed down stairs.
She didn’t know what was going to happen when their mother’s finally forced them to set a date but she hoped it wouldn’t ruin the progress that the two had made on their friendship.
Sophia made her way into the kitchen and jumped when she saw Cristiano, sitting at the counter; she hadn’t heard him come home and was a little surprised to see him home so early.
Cristiano smirked as he looked at the blonde, who rested a hand on her heart; she glared at him as she moved to sit across from him curious about what he was doing home.
“I’ve found a way out of our engagement,” Cristiano said pleased with himself, he sipped on his coffee as his brown eyes watched the blonde across from him.
The footballer pulled out the contract that contained all the details of the engagement and eventual marriage; he looked at Sophia, who hadn’t said anything yet and he took that as a good sign.
“I had a friend of mine, who is a lawyer look over the contract; he thinks that there is a way out for us,” Cristiano said as the blonde stared at him dumbfounded.
She nodded her head wondering what would happen if they weren’t engaged anymore; she had a feeling that it would end their friendship.
“If we were to keep the engagement going for over a year and comply to the desired effects of the marriage before it takes place then the contract is void… we wouldn’t have to get marry,” Cristiano said smugly making Sophia look at him surprised.
Cristiano knew, he hadn’t been expecting him to find a way out of this but he wasn’t ready to give up his life the way his mother wanted; Sophia was his friend, she would never be the woman he wanted to marry and raise a family with.

Kaka grinned at Cristiano as he arrived for training; he had something he wanted to share with the Portuguese and he knew that it would be a great idea, he had been waiting for the right moment to tell him.
“So Caroline and I are throwing you and Sophia an engagement party,” Kaka said as they walked towards the changing room.
Cristiano looked at Kaka surprised wondering why the Brazilian would do such a thing; he didn’t want any sort of party thrown for him and Sophia, he had just set about trying to dissolve their engagement.
“We like Sophia, Cris, she’s an amazing woman and we’re happy you finally realised that,” Kaka said patting Cristiano on the back before he headed off to his own locker.
The Brazilian had no idea why his friend was really marrying the blonde and Cristiano was going to make sure that no one ever really knew why he was engaged to Sophia.
Cristiano watched him for a second, shaking his head he couldn’t help but smile if all worked out with his plan then he would never have to marry Sophia; he just hoped that everything would work out the way that he planned.
“The engagement party is next Friday,” Kaka called from his locker, making Cristiano look at him while the other members of the team grinned; they had all been invited and everyone was looking forward to the party.
“And no it’s not optional,” Kaka said knowing what his friend was going to try and get out of it; Iker laughed softly as Cristiano glared at the Brazilian before he walked away to his locker so that he could think about what he was going to do.
Most of the younger members hadn’t met Sophia yet, but were interested to meet the woman that had claimed the ‘heart’ of Cristiano Ronaldo and had convinced him to marry her.
“So when do we officially get to meet Sophia?” Fábio asked interested in the woman, Cristiano looked at him before he noticed that the team were all looking at him.
The blonde had managed to avoid meeting most of the team the last time that she had come to a match to watch him.
“She’s coming to the Getafe match on Tuesday,” Cristiano said as he turned his attention away from the team, he knew that Sophia didn’t like being the centre of attention and he hoped she was prepared for what was to come.

Sophia sighed as she looked at Junior, she smiled as she watched the little boy play with the dogs before she shook her head; she knew that there was no way that she was going to be able to remain if Cristiano went through with his plan.
Of course, she didn’t want to marry the man that she had once called her best friend; but she knew that it was going to be awkward when he started bring women home again.
The blonde sighed as she shook her head, she didn’t know what was going to happen but she hoped that she would be able to continue being a nanny when she left working for Cristiano; she jumped at the sound of the footballer returning home as he slammed the front door.
Sophia looked behind her confused as he walked into the lounge, his brown eyes glanced at her before he looked at Junior; the little boy didn’t even seem to notice that his father was home early.
“Next Friday we are going to a party,” Cristiano said annoyed making the blonde look at him confused, she nodded her head as the footballer ran a frustrated hand through his hair as he eyed her for a moment before he shook his head and stormed away.
Sophia watched him leave and sighed wondering what had upset him, she smiled as she turned her attention back to Junior; she flinched as she heard the master bedroom door being slammed shut.
“What crawled up your padre’s ass?” Sophia asked as she looked at the little boy, she knew that they weren’t the closest sometimes but she had really had bonded with Cristiano’s son; he made all of this better for her.
Junior pouted making the blonde smile as she held him close, she didn’t know what she would do when her engagement with Cristiano was over; she just knew that she was going to miss the little boy that she held in her arms.
