Irina smirked as she finished helping Sophia get ready for her first match as a WAG, she knew that the blonde had hidden away last time but this time there would be no hiding; Sophia needed to be seen at the match before people started asking questions.

The Russian had arrived back in Madrid the day before and had agreed to help Sophia get ready; she knew how difficult this would be and she knew that there was going to be some WAGs that were less than friendly to the blonde.

Sophia looked at her reflection surprised at what she saw; Irina chuckled as she leant against the back of Sophia’s chair, taking in the beautiful blonde who looked stunning.

“Don’t look so surprised,” Irina said making Sophia look at her, Irina was going to be accompanying her to the match since Sophia didn’t speak with many of the other WAGs.

The blonde who was wearing a black top in fade away spot print with kimono sleeve and denim skinny jeans paired with grey chunky work lace up heeled boots slowly stood from her chair and looked at Irina.

“I don’t think I can do this,” Sophia said making Irina sigh as she looked at the blonde before she pulled Sophia into a hug.

She knew how nerve raking this was and she couldn’t help but hope that the blonde was prepared for the media storm that she had been shielded from.

The two pulled back and the model smiled at her friend before she moved to collect her bag, she knew everything that was going on because she was Sophia’s closest friend and she had a feeling that the footballer was going to make a mess of things.

“Come on… we have to get to the stadium,” Irina said linking arms with Sophia, the blonde sighed as she allowed Irina to lead her out of her apartment.

“Don’t worry,” Irina said softly making the blonde look at her, they had been sitting in the private box for nearly twenty minutes and so far there wasn’t any change between Sophia and the other WAGs; they had just been watching her since she had arrived with the model.

“They’re judging to see what part of the group you fit into… those who are here for the money or those who are here because they love the footballer,” Irina explained, noting that some of her friends from the team were watching Sophia a lot more closely because she was here; they were curious about why Cristiano’s ex-girlfriend was with his fiancée.

It wasn’t long before Cristiano scored the first goal in the 23rd minute of the match; Sophia felt Irina give her arm a squeeze as they noticed one or two of the younger WAGs turned to glare at the blonde.

By the time half time came, Sophia had started to bounce her knee; she knew that the WAGs that mattered would use the time they had to question her about what she was like, she just hoped that it went well.

“So Sophia… how come we haven’t seen you before?” Sara Carbonero asked as she watched the blonde, she ignored the glare that Irina shot her knowing that the model didn’t like her; the reporter was renowned for causing trouble for the team.

“I usually sit in the stands with Junior,” Sophia said shrugging, she glanced at Irina knowing that her friend didn’t like the brunette that was talking to her; she had seen some of the headlines that Sara had caused about Cristiano in the past.

It wasn’t long before Sophia had been introduced to the rest of the WAGs that were at the match, she could already see the divide between the half that loved their footballers for the money and fame and the half that truly loved their footballers.

“So how did you and Cristiano meet?” Carina Carvalho asked making the blonde look at her; the others all looked at Sophia in interest, no one knew anything about her and they were all curious about her.

“I’ve known Cristiano all my life, our parents are close friends so we grew up together,” Sophia explained as Irina slipped from the room to head to the bathroom.

Sara nodded in approval though she expected that Sophia had met Cristiano at a bar, she didn’t trust any woman that the Portuguese brought into his life.

“Weren’t you dating Gerard Piqué?” Lena Gercke asked as she stared at the blonde, she knew that she had seen her somewhere before and she had a feeling that she knew where; Sophia stiffen at the mention of her ex-boyfriend.

Caroline noticed before she turned to glare at the younger woman, who had spoken; everyone who knew what had happened knew that what the Barcelona footballer had cruelly dumbed the blonde for her half-sister.

“Maybe she realised how much better Cristiano is than Gerard,” Ana Sofia Moreira said making Sophia look at her gratefully; she really didn’t want to talk about what had happened between her and Gerard.

She knew most of the other woman probably already knew the story of what happened to her relationship with Gerard, the press had had a field day when Gerard had proposed to Sophia’s half-sister Isabel while he had been dating her.

“Highly unlikely… are you sure you’re not a jersey chaser?” Lena said as she ignored the warning look from Nagore; she smirked as she watched the blonde for a moment knowing that they didn’t need one of them around.

A couple of the other women shifted nervously as they glanced between Sophia and the German model; they knew that Lena was only being protective but there was no way that the blonde was going to be trouble.

“Does she look like a jersey chaser to you?” Irina hissed as she glared at the other model.

She knew where Lena was going with this and she wasn’t about to allow her to bully the blonde; she was aware that the German was just trying to push the blonde away.

“I’m not… what I went through with Gerard was horrible and if it wasn’t for Cristiano then I wouldn’t be here right now,” Sophia confessed as she looked at Lena.

Irina blinked taken back as she watched her friend, she knew that the blonde had been in a bad place when things with Gerard had ended but she hadn’t thought they were that bad.

“I wanted to end my life and it was only for Cristiano bringing me to Madrid that I didn’t,” Sophia said knowing that her friend was shocked.

The blonde had never told anyone this and she wasn’t ever going to tell the Portuguese where she had been when she’d gotten the job to look after Junior.

“You were going to kill yourself?” Irina whispered in horror, Sophia looked at her and nodded her head.

It had taken her a long time to get over what had happened and what she had nearly down but she had and she didn’t ever want to be in that place again.

Lena looked down at her hands feeling horrible, she hadn’t expected that sort of admission especially from Sophia; she knew the story of what had happened and she wouldn’t wish that betrayal on anyone.
