Aries' green eyes drifted open, widening when she was greeted by her best friend, Lena, leaning over her bed.
"I was wondering when you would wake up! C'mon, it's noon already", the bubbly girl grinned, giving Aries no change to respond as she gripped onto her wrists and pulled the sleepy girl into an upright position. Her eyes drooped as she looked around the room, sending Lena a dirty glare once her gaze landed on her giggling friend.
"Where are we going, again?", Aries asked, rubbing her eyes, "and how long have you been here?"
Lena walked over to Aries' closet, flinging it open and throwing a few articles of clothing towards the bed. She turned back to the groggy girl, her long hair dramatically flicking over her shoulder as she did so.
"Only an hour. You promised you'd come to that sign language class with me, remember? Now get dressed and meet me outside", Lena demanded, turning on her heel and leaving he room. Aries huffed, blowing a strand of her unruly hair from her face. She obeyed Lena's orders and got dressed. She was forcing a brush through her tangled curls when her phone buzzed, a notification from Ashton popping up. Her eyes lit up at his name, but she knew he'd have to wait until later. Lena would surely have her head on a platter if she didn't hurry up. She'd been going on and on about this sign language class for weeks, and being the good friend she was, Aries had agreed to go with her.
Lena drove them to Sydney University, who had kindly allowed the class to use their hall. She hastily parked, not caring that she'd done a terrible job, and dashed out of the car. Aries followed behind her unenthusiastically, causing Lena to sigh in impatience.
"C'mon Ar, I wanna get good spots!", the brunette whined. Of course, Lena had no interest in learning sign language, but the instructor was 'the human embodiment of pure sex', as she had told Aries a few weeks prior. She had every intention of getting him in her bed tonight, even if that meant attending a two hour ASL class.
They walked into the hall, which was unsurprisingly quite empty. People were sparsely scattered around the room, and Aries noticed that the crowd consisted mainly of senior citizens and who she assumed were their children. She sat next to Lena, about two rows from the front, and retrieved her phone from her pocket, scrolling through her Instagram feed to pass the time.
This was going to be a long two hours.
