HELLO. Author here, it's been many years since I wrote this, and for your own sake and sanity I offer you the advice to not fucking read this ever. I mean you could if you want but it's kinda a shit book and I wrote it when I was like 13. The author notes are cringe as fuck and the story telling is bad. And my 13 year old self thought it was a good idea to base characters off of people I knew in real life. bad bad idea don't do that ever. (Y/N's POV)
It was a hot summer day, my feet were burning against the warm sand of the beach. I don't quite know how to describe my feelings, I feel happy, but sadness seems to be lingering behind the happiness. And I felt horrible, but at the same time I felt like something extraordinary was going to happen... You could say I felt... confused? no... crazy? nope... What about- OOF
My thoughts are interrupted when I bump into someone. The sand burns my back. owwww.... I look up to see who I ran into and- ohmygod. It's FINN WOLFHARD! Holy Shit.
"O-oh... sorry about that..." I stutter.
"It's alright, I should've been watching where I was going." He smiles. God he is gorgeous.
His hair, his freckles, his eyes, his smile... It's too beautiful. This has to be a dream...
I lightly pinch my arm...
I wake up with a gasp. It was a dream. Shit, and I have school today? UGHGHH. I lift my eyes to glance at the clock. 8:00???? I woke up ten minutes late.
"Honey! Breakfast's ready!" Why does my mom always sound so happy, like I'm not depressed.
"Okay...Coming!" I walk down stairs and try to act as cheerful as possible. I put on the most fake smile in existence.
"Hi Y/N!"
"Hey, mom."
"I made you some Eggos- Would you like some maple syrup?"
"Yes, please."
"Alrightie." She places the syrup on the table, along with a plate of freshly-toasted Eggos.
I devour my breakfast within 5 minutes. I don't wanna be late for school.

(Still Y/N's POV)
10:00am. I've been in school for an hour and a half. Why the FUCK does math have to be so boring?
"...Therefore, the square root of X divided by 3 squared is 5, meaning that..."
Even Mr. Shuttlewoth's voice is boring.

As I grab my poorly-made gravy-covered potato salad from the cafeteria, I scan the room for my friends.
AH! There they are!
"Heyyyy Bitches!"
"Heyyyyy" They all say in unison. At our table we have:
Leila, The beautiful girl with brunette-blonde ombre hair, that everyone is kinda jealous of. She can be a bit over dramatic, and is constantly jealous of her friend's relationship with her ex.
Lili, Leila's "best friend" even though she doesn't really like her that much. She has light brown hair, and she is currently in a realationship with Leila's ex.
Gavin, A fun dancer. He is the only boy at the table. He's currently in a relationship with Lili, and he's Leila's ex. I used to like him, but I kinda gave up on him after y'know... he was with Leila... and now Lili... so yeah. And also I'm pretty sure he's gay but I mean, whatever.
Sabina: The crazy one. She's always fun and wild in her own ways, and can somehow do weirdass things to make others laugh, while keeping a straight face. She has black hair, and brown eyes.
Rachel, The quiet, shy, pale sweetheart. She has long, straight blue-ish hair, and she LOVES books, and crafts.
They know I'm pretty depressed, so the table is silent. In attempt to start conversation I say;
"Soooo, Lili! Um.. Stranger Things 3's coming out next year! You excited?"
"Yeah! I cant wait! I wonder what's gonna happen?"
"I DON KNOW I JUST WANT DUSTIN TO GET A GIRLFRIEND!" Sabina yells out
"Sabina,calm down."
"NEVERRRRRRRRR" Jeez.
"OHHHH and I want a scene where Mike takes his shirt off... He's so hot..." Lili trails off.
"OH MY GOD! Lili! you're so disgusting!" I say, lightly punching her arm, even though I kinda want the same thing.
"So," Leila starts, popping open a root beer and kicking her feet up on the table.
"Gavin, How are things at the dance studio?"
They used to go to the same dance school, but Leila dropped out last year.
"Oh! It's good! Um Mrs. Tabitha is doing great! And Ms. Samantha got pregnant. And-"
"Okay, we get it." Jeez she woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
As I'm Finishing up my salad, I feel a hand on my shoulder. I look down to see the hand has purple-painted finger nails. I immediately know who it is. I look up to see that unforgettable face. It's my 16-year old sister, Jessica. She has blue eyes, and golden hair, dyed purple in the back.
"C'mon,Y/N let's go!"
"W-what? where?"
"You have an audition!"
"For what? And why at lunch?"
"You'll see!!!!!"
"O-okay..." As she drags me away, I hear yelps of "Good Luck!" coming from my friends.
They're so sweet.
I follow Jess out to her Mercedes-Benz. I hop into the passenger seat as she starts the car.
"So, what's the audition for?"
"Fine, It's for Stranger Things 3!"
"WHAT?!"
