Chapter 28: Addicted {Digna}
There was NOTHING to do! A mansion with nothing to do. I was laying down on my bed, on my phone like always, doing absolutely nothing. I felt like I had to do something, but I didn’t know what. I considered looking up the Rush of Pandora’s Thieves on the internet, but we already knew what it was and there was no information on it that we didn’t already know.
I was thinking about Calvin, yes I know, typical teenager. He’s hard to figure out. He got mad at me for no clear reason. What did I do? He called me fake, pretentious, and a player. I know what it is. It’s my hair. Freaking Goldie Locks is all fake, huh? Let’s see how he takes discrimination. I’ve taken it for way longer than he has, so I can say I’m used to it. He’s only been on earth for about a week. Let’s see how Mr. Stereotypical Idiot holds up with my end of life. Just for a day, let’s see how he holds up.
Before I stormed out of earshot earlier, I heard someone mention a name. I think it was a girl’s name. Genesis, was it? No… Jennifer? Nope, doesn’t sound right. Ge…ne…sey. Genesey, that’s it! Umm… Genesey Rose, I think. That was the first time I’d ever heard her name. I felt like I should’ve known her or something, but I didn’t. I looked up her name on the internet. I was surprised the house had Wi-Fi.
It took a long time before I found a web page titled her name. I tapped it and read her “profile”.
Genesey Rose- The Female Hercules’
Genesey Rose, or Genasaea Bleudoux, was the unstoppable warrior. She rivaled Hercules for supremacy and accomplishment. Genasaea did not live an easy life, much like her younger brother, Rion Bleudoux. She was dependent on upholding and supporting the family. As the children of the almighty and busy Zeus, they did not receive help or resources to survive from him. Their mother was a farmer in the fields of ambrosia, working almost all her life in the fields.
Genasaea started planning her brilliant conquests to vanquish those terrorizing the citizens of Olympus and Earth in her early childhood and began accomplishing them in her teens with her hunting team. She shared the income with them evenly and they set out on her very well-planned conquests regularly.
When the Great Annihilation struck, Genasaea’s mother died. She and her brother survived because they were searching for Jala somewhere on Earth. Genasaea entered a state of depression and put off her hunts. Shortly after this, her brother had to support her and himself. He continued her conquests and held up what was left of the family, together with the same hunting team Genasaea managed and hunted with.
Zeus caught wind of the dynamic duo and remembered that these were his children. He apologized to them profusely and offered them untold riches, extravagant palaces to stay at, and things no one could ever ask for. All they did was turn down all his offers. They’d rather live a life difficult earned than a privileged one unfairly inherited.
Genasaea came out of her depression when she remembered how her mother wanted her to live her life. Fighting strong. This is when she came back, ignoring all of her stealth techniques and just gallivanting in front of a terror and slaying it. She was far more agile, strong, and fierce than her former hunting self. The stronger and more popular she and her brother got, the more offers Zeus presented them with, the more times he was turned down.
They only accepted one offer that was never spoken of again. Philosophers believe that the offer had to involve befriending another being in return for much deserved revenge. Philosophers and scholars have agreed that Rion had befriended the cause of the Great Annihilation and Genasaea befriended, and fell in love with, a dark child.
The belief is that Genasaea and Rion wanted the revenge so badly, she was willing to get hurt herself in order to hurt the cause of the Great Annihilation. It is said that Rion successfully deceived and hurt his “friend”, but Genasaea took a different path.
