Chapter 27: Admitted {Ieo}

I couldn’t even think straight. The tour bus didn’t look to promising from the exterior, but man that mansion it holds inside! Six bedrooms, three bathrooms, it’s a palace in a tour bus. The living room was equipped with a full set of gaming systems, controllers, and game discs. So much for “in a nut shell”. I just hoped no officials would have to take a look in the bus, because then, we’re all dead. Eight teenagers, half girls, half guys, all on a tour bus for how long? Trouble and assumptions.

I took time to explore the house after I claimed my bedroom. My room was the closest to the bathroom on the second floor. There was another bathroom near the living room and the third bathroom was right behind the driver’s seat. It was like my dream home in a bus. The kitchen was about the same size a Dey’s and the living room was just incredible. It was fully furnished and perfectly set. on the wall, there was a half and half picture. I was split directly in the middle, the left side dark, and the right side golden.

I walked over to the painting, separating myself from the rest of my fellow travelers. When I got to examine the painting, I realized it wasn’t a painting at all. It was an edited photograph. Half Zeus, half Hades. I thought it was really cool and a great accent to the mansion. It also showed some inner personality without being too obvious.

All of a sudden there was the sound of a footrace. I rushed to see what was happening. It was just everyone raiding the refrigerator to stuff their personal mini in their rooms. I already knew for fact that the kitchen fridge would refill when it was empty, so I didn’t bother to join the mayhem. Instead, I watched as they shoved and pushed each other. The fridge was empty after about six minutes. They left it open, so I closed it and waited a few minutes before opening it again. Like I predicted, it was full again. So, being the smartest of all of the immortals, I got to leisurely choose my foods and calmly stuff them in my refrigerator. I’m sure a few people saw me walk in my room with a bus load of food. Haha, get it? BUS load!!! I’m stupid…

We started driving without any of us realizing it. The vehicle didn’t even seem to move, but the movement beyond the windows indicated otherwise. It was incredible. The windows were at least ten feet apart, but from either side of the house, we fit in one lane.

“How did you walk up to your room with more food than all of us?” Calla asked, “We all want to know.”

“The fridge. It refills itself when its empty,” I nodded. I would’ve expected her to know.

“Oh… wait what?!” Danica exclaimed. She rushed to the fridge to gather more food, shortly before the others followed, yet again. I sat down on a gorgeous red and grey couch, within view of the kitchen. It had a very unique design. I was examining the fabric and running my hands over the seats, until some boulder just randomly jumped into my lap. I didn’t scream or yell, but I stiffened. Until I realized it was only Gavin.

“I’m tired,” he moaned. His “stomach” was in my lap and he was horizontally splayed across the couch, if he had a stomach.

His core, it changes. It really does. It’s either a bottomless pit or a live brick wall[J1] .

“Really, now? You can hardly tell,” I said with sarcasm. He started to tickly my sides. I laughed and squirmed uncontrollably. I couldn’t get away because he was pinning me down with his weight. I tried to kick and scream, but I couldn’t move my legs and I was too busy laughing to scream.

I tried tickling him back, but his squirming didn’t drive him away, it just made my legs tingle with the pins and needles sensation.

“STAHP TICKLING MEH!!!” I laugh-yelled. “I WILL freeze you! Don’t test me, Gav!”
