"You're right and I was wrong."

See you again

Stephanie's P.O.V.

I'm running.

I keep on running.

My feet are aching but I won't stop, my breath is being limited, my arms are moving. In front me, there's darkness. I'm searching for light, but there isn't anything around. Just pitch black darkness. I stop to catch my breath and my hands clutch my knees as I feel the scratchy fabric of my jeans. My hand crosses my forehead as I wipe the sweat off and take in huge gasps of breath, trying to get as much air as possible. I stand up straight and look around. Nothing is here but darkness. But wait, I look foward, I see a figure, what is this? I toss my hair back, and scratch my head before moving again.

"Hello?" I call out.

No answer.

But a grumble. A strained cry. I approach closer, what is it. And there it is, I finally reach my hand out, trying to touch. But it grabs my wrist, I let out a shriek as I try to pull back from the mysterious figure. I catch a glimpse of it. A boy, with aqua blue eyes, and golden angelic hair. His eyes stared right into mine as my body went numb. My mouth hung open as my knees felt like jelly and i could no longer stand. I fell to the floor beneath me, ready to pass out. He stands above me as I look up, my chest is moving up and down quickly as my breathing increases. I feel the anxiety creeping on me. He's looking down at me, I'm defenseless and vulnerable, there's nobody here to help me.

"Who..." I speak quietly, he shakes his head and puts his index finger to my lips, making me shush. My body feels like jello as I stare into those eyes.

So familiar..

So unpleasant.

My mind screams out to wake up, and I scream as loud as I can, as his figure turns to dust.

My scream woke me up as I quickly sat up in my bed, my breathing was heavy. The atmosphere was dark, and my room felt stuffy. In a matter of seconds Matthew came barging through my door. He looked like he has just run a marathon. He let out a quick sigh and came to my bed, sitting down next to me.

"Stephy, are you okay?" he said while lightly shaking my tense shoulders. I stared into nothing, wondering what that dream had been about. He shook me a bit more and I turned to him and nodded. "I had a bad dream," I muttered. "What about?" He asked me as curiosity struck his tone of voice. I shook my head and proceeded to peel off my covers. In a matter of seconds I was sitting next to him. Matthew always had been the one to comfort me when I was sad. He was there when I cried countless times, when he left. But no matter how much I trusted him, I couldn't tell him about my dream. It might worry him. "Nothing important, I'll need to go have myself a shower," my lips formed a little smile and I began walking towards my bathroom. "Steph?" He called after me, I spun around to catch his gaze. "Will you tell me?" I noticed how emotionless his voice sounded. I smirked once again, "I'm a big girl, it's fine. Now shoo, I need to get back to sleep after my shower," I waved my hand towards the door. He let out a sigh and moved towards the door, murmuring a goodnight before leaving my room, shutting the door behind him.

The morning rays of sunlight stung my closed eyelids. I groaned and got up from my bed and went to my shower. Another day of boring school, I cannot wait until I finally graduate from the damned school. Once I was dressed in a green tee and some white shorts and slightly combed my messy brown hair. I headed downstairs to see Matthew already munching on breakfast, eggs and bacon. I sat next to him and my mom handed me my plate of breakfast and I began to eat my crispy bacon. After cleaning up the dishes and such, we made our way out to my car and I hopped in the seat next to him. Our ride was silent as I twirled my wavy brown hair through my fingers. I turned to me, I decided to ask him about the phone call. "So.." I said, then cleared my throat nervously, and pulled on the collar of my shirt, even though it was loose I felt like it was choking me "Who's back?" I said innocently. My gaze stood on him as he reached a red light. Shock clouded his eyes and his mouth hung open, obviously surprised my question. "Hellooo-" I said snapping my fingers, interrupting his thoughts. "Yeah, sorry what did you say?" he asked, I'm sure he knew what I said. We heard someone honk their horn behind us and he sped up, past the light. "I said, who is back?" My voice was a tad bit more annoyed this time. I rolled her eyes. "Oh, no one you know," He responded. "Yeah right!" I said angry, and slammed my fist into his shoulder. "Ow?!" He scowled at me. My lips formed a grin and I turned to look out the window. Once we reached school I practically bolted out of the car and into the school, that looked like a castle, with huge brick brown walls, and multiple windows and entrances. I saw Melanie and ran towards her. Her hair was curled perfectly at the ends. Her eyes were hazel, and seemed to be a perfect shade. Melanie caught sight of Matthews stare and she smiled a little bit before turning her flushed face away from his gaze. We quickly walked into the school, an the halls had been empty. The green lockers stretched from the entrance all the way down to where I couldn't see. They were interrupted by classroom doors.
