Guilty Love ( vampire knight )

Prologue

Red splattered on the pure white now as the wind howled at the bright moon.

Long strands of brown hair danced in the wind as a young girl stood watching the fight bellow. Tears streamed down her cheeks as the ashes of her father's remains scattered in the wind.

Her heart trembling as she recalled what she had done only moments ago. Below Kaname continued his father's battle against their own uncle.

Feeling the end soon their mother had taken her to the small treasure their parents had tried so hard to protect. Promising her to protect their little sister before their mother herself joined their father.

Their little sister who would have the chance to live in a world outside the shadows and under sun. Away from the cold hollow world only they could exist in.  Not this empty world of darkness.

Staring down at her older brother standing now alone her heart ached. Even right in front of her he seemed miles away. Even the cold wind around them was more comforting to her.

Sensing her gaze Kaname's eyes met her own empty eyes as tears continued to fall down her cheeks. In silence she jumped down the balcony.  Her steps seeming almost soundless as she walked up to him in stiff steps.

" Kaname ." Her sorrowful voice spoke along with the wind as her eyes trailed down at the ground of snow and blood. Kaname's own eyes looked back to the house as if searching for someone

He's looking for her a voice whispered in her head as wrapped her arms around herself. The cold air freezing her broken heart more.

" Where Yuki ?" His voice filled with worry something he stopped using for her. Even the false kind words he had once used on her were long gone. Since birth she couldn't control her taste for blood. Only satisfied momentarily with the blood of a Kuran family member.

On his visits he had always been warm towards her. Bringing small gifts from the outside world into her four wall world she remained locked up in.

After Yuki's birth his false kind words only became more clear and she refused to meet with him alone afterwards.

" She's gone ." She spoke out an in empty voice. Looking shocked his gaze turned towards the direction of the woods. Standing still her heart broke as he ran passed her without a second glance. Her eyes trailing down to her hand where a diamond ring shined on her ring finger. Clenching her hand her sharp nails perced through her skin. Blood slowly dripping down on to the white snow bellow her.

He lied once again. Turn it off, he broke his promise again. The same voice whispered in her head as she felt the touch of a ghost at her back

"Turn what off?"

you heart, your memories.

"You liar." She muttered into the night wind as her head lifted up to the sky above her. A single blood tear streaming down her cheek.

At least if she had the heart of a doll she wouldn't have to feel this pain any longer.

"You failed once again."
