chapter 13.5

"Ah it's raining ." A long haired figure said leaning against the door way of her balcony , watching as the rain fell down the cloudy grey sky .

"Miyu, what are you doing out there ? You'll get cold that way ." Kaname said walking into the room frowning seeing his sister only wearing her nightgown not enough to keep her warm from the cold wind that accompanied the rain .

"Hello , Kaname ." The girl said to him turning to him with an elegant warming smile, the wind blowing her hair around .

"Miyuki ..."Kaname said in shock not believing who the person in front of him was .

"Did you miss me, Kaname ?" Miyuki asked him tilting her head yo the side the wind blowing at her dangling necklace . A gold locket hanging off a gold chain.

"You know I have, there isn't a single day that passes that I don't think of you ." Kaname confessed to her making her smile in a sad almost guilty way .

"You ...love...Miyu ." Miyuki said to him with a sad forgiving smile turning away from him to look back at the rain . Frowning Kaname looked back down at the floor .

"I do ...she reminds me very much of how you were before it had all started . Back when things were much peaceful . " Kaname told her looking up at her .

"I was suppose to be gone... My memories were suppose to have been erased when I woke up in our new life until my awakening . Like Yuki ... instead I awoke with all my memories just like you but instead the curse created another personality another side of me who had no memories of our past life before I woke . And in return I was pushed deep inside' my other half 's ' conscious . Forced to watch everything happening in the outside world not being able to do anything . I can only come out when Miyu is weak . And I can only be freed until Miyu and I accept each other and awaken together . When we can finally become whole . Until then ...." Miyuki traced off before letting out a small smile .

"I used to think it was unfair ...I was only in despair thinking that Miyu had taking over my part in your life and I was no longer needed . Only being able to watch ...but , I realized both Miyu and I are just two halves of the same coin. She was my sister , my daughter , she was me . It made the pain hurt less knowing that . I'm happy now ..." Miyuki said turning to him with a smile before turning back to the rain stretching her hand out giggling a bit as the cold rain drops fell on the palm of her hand .

"I love the rain ...it always clears up bad things . Leaving only the good stuff behind ..." Miyuki traced off frowning sadly reaching out with her other hand griping up to her locket .

"It rained those three times as well..." Miyuki said in a low tone smiling sadly gazing up at the grey sky .

"It seemed the rain came to me those three times and brought me comfort with its cold tears . "Miyuki said turning her head to Kaname who had been silent with a sad smile .

"You still haven't forgiven me for that time , have you Kaname ?" Miyuki asked him her tone sounding as if she was struggling not to cry .

"No ...I have not ...not yet ." Kaname said in a low tone . Chuckling Miyuki sighed gazing up ahead with a distant look in her eyes .

"Miyu ... she believes she was born with all her memories from her past life . She still hasn't noticed the big emptiness in her memories that she was not born with . Memories you took away from her . Each time she was close to remembering any of those memories you would erase her memories taking more and more of them with each time . This time you took away all her memories leaving only the ones of this life . Why Kaname ? Why are you so afraid of her remembering ? You know once she remembers she will be one step closer to hers and mine awakening . Is that what you don't want ? You don't want our awakening . If that's it then why don't you just erase me ? You should be able to do it easily . Erase me Kaname ." Miyuki said a pain look appeared on Kaname 's face before he rushed forward pulling her into his arms in a tight embrace .

"I can't ...no matter how much I don't want Miyu to awaken .no matter how much I know that erasing you completely would solve it all . I can't . I'm too afraid to lose you , you who has been by my side since the beginning . I don't want to lose you or that innocent child I had raised as my little sister since I awoke from my sleep . When I first awoke I knew I could easily reawaken you all I had to do was wait until she was the right age not to injure her in the process but ... as years passed . I couldn't bring myself to do it . Watching that small innocent girl grow up watching her live her life knowing that small child 's fate. I couldn't bring myself to do it . She's my little sister as well . I'm sorry for being selfish ,but I can't lose neither both of you . " Kaname told her . Closing her eyes she smiled shaking her head hugging him back .

"You are not selfish Kaname, you just care about her . I'm happy for you ." Miyuki said with a smile pulling away cupping the side of his face .

"I'll always be at your side , Kaname . What ever you chose ill be there for you . " Miyuki said to him with a smile pulling away she walked back out the balcony smiling as she saw the rain had stopped .

"Ne, Kaname ." Miyuki said to him twirling around to face him with a bright smile putting her hands behind her back .

"Never forget , after a stormy rainy day the sun always comes out ."

Sighing softly Miyu slowly opened her eyes finding herself laying on the sofa in her room . Turning she watched her brother standing on the doorway of her balcony with a distant look in his eyes . She could see in his hand that he was clenching to something in his fist , a long gold chain hanging free from his fist. Something about it seemed familiar . She was sure she had seen it somewhere before . Feeling a small pain in her head a figure appeared replacing her brother . The figure of a tall man , the man was dark wearing all black with long black hair .

Who is that ? Miyu thought before the figure vanished returning back to her brother .

"Onii-chan ?" Miyu asked out sitting up , turning to her he offered her a smile closing the door of the the balcony .

"Your awake now , Miyu ?" Kaname asked smiling as Miyu walked up to him wrapping her arms around his waist in a hug . Nodding her head she buried her face in his chest .

"Onii-san ...." Miyu traced off thinking it would be best not to ask about the man she had seen . Something inside of her yelled out at her not to tell him anything .

"Yes?"

"Do you think the sun will come out tomorrow ?" Miyu asked him making his eyes widen recalling the last thing Miyuki had told him before disappearing once again .

"Yes I think it will ..." kaname traced off with a smile running his fingers though her hair . Miyu frowning looked down at the locket in his other hand not helping up notice the thumping pain in her head as she stared at it . It felt like a locked away memory deep inside of her was slowly starting to come out . Freeing its self from its chain until she could finally remember.

"The sun always comes out after a stormy day ."
