9th day of Chaoh, 3 BJ (Before Judgment)

Dawn had cuddled up with Hearth for the night. She had grown cold and Amethyst let her sleep with Hearth. Dawn had wrapped her arms around Hearth and rested her weary head on Hearth's warm shoulder. Dawn felt someone shift and she woke up. Dawn began to yawn when she felt Hearth hug her. Dawn stopped yawning and sluggishly opened her eyes. She was greeted with Hearth's smiling face.

"What are you doing here? Did you get cold or something?" Hearth chuckled at Dawn's sleepy face.

"Huh? Oh, right. I did get cold last night. I didn't feel like walking all the way to my house."

Hearth let out a small laugh and he then reached out to scratch Amethyst behind the ear. Amethyst began to purr like a cat and she then lifted her head and looked at the young couple she was protecting. Amethyst lifted her wing and Dawn crawled out. She wore a lace tank top and very short white shorts. Her bra underneath the lace was purple. She quickly slipped on a nightgown and started walking over to her cave. Dawn's cheeks were red with embarrassment. She glanced over her shoulder to give Hearth a warm smile. She changed into a white t shirt with flexible jeans. She also put on a purple jacket and left it unzipped. She grabbed a purple belt for the sole purpose of having a place to attach her rapier's sheath. Her clothes fit her fine. Dawn snapped Leopard's Paw, her rapier, onto the belt. Dawn then remembered about her Hidden Blades. She would have left them with Snowflake if she didn't remember about them. Dawn slipped them on and concealed the mechanism under the sleeves of her jacket. Dawn found herself thinking about Hearth. I think it's cute how Hearth made little noises while he slept. I might want to see if he'll go out for dinner? Ah! What am I doing? I need to stop thinking about him so often.... Dawn walked out of the cave and saw Hearth was unconscious and he was getting dragged away by hooded figures. Dawn made a move to unsheath Leopard's Paw, but she felt something hit her neck. Her hand flew to her neck, but her vision blurred and spun. She stumbled around, trying to stay upright, but she fell to the ground. The hooded figures loomed over her, and they kicked her head to the side. Hearth was the last thing she saw before the neurotoxin finally knocked her unconscious. Dawn awoke to a hard impact. As she struggled to fight off the remaining toxins, her vision slowly restored. She still had everything on her, but she was in a totally different environment. Dawn sat up and then she saw a giant fortress of black. Hooded figures patrolled the walls. Dawn looked down and saw a note resting on the ground. If you want to save your friends from a fiery doom, then fight your way through our city. Note: Time is not your ally. Your friends are right now hung over a active volcano. And it's about to erupt. So long. Dawn was stunned at how things have unfolded, then fear washed over her. Dawn struggled to push her fear back and stand up. She drew her blade. Dawn then ran straight for the gate. She was focused on saving Hearth at all costs. Dawn kept running, slashing at any who tried to get in her way. Her fear was cut away with each swing. Dawn ran into a dead end, but she used the memories of her ancestors and swiftly scaled the wall in front of her. Dawn landed and didn't break stride. She kept running. Hearth was in sight. These monsters had also captured Smoke, Lightning, Jordan, Tom, Sonja, and Tucker. Dawn sprinted at them full speed. She skidded to a stop when twenty of the Hooded dropped in front of Dawn's friends. They let out a blood curdling scream, but Dawn wasn't afraid. Dawn simply rose her blade. A surge of righteous anger consumed Dawn and her blade. Leopard's Paw began to glow with crimson light. She hefted the blade to be as high as her ear. Her hand hovered close to the surface of the crimson blade. She surged past the demented creatures with the speed of a comment, then Dawn spun while in mid air and slashed one across it's back. Four of the creatures bursted into visible shards of blue light. The others started to turn, but Dawn tapped into her inner strength. Magic was set loose into her veins and Dawn started hearing a voice of reason.
