Chapter Two: The Entrance of a Certain Rose

AN: Hello again! Its me with another chapter of Red Like Roses. You might start to think this is a little familiar, because it is. I wanted to make the story more cohesive and less fragmented, so that's why I'm rewriting this series. In this chapter, Ichigo meets Ruby and Company! Now, without further adieu...on with the fic!

As Ichigo sprinted off to find answers, another group of teens were making their way through the heavily wooded forest. A redheaded girl who seemed to skip along, humming happily to herself, a teen wearing green who's calmness was easy to see, a blonde boy wearing white armor with a sword strapped to his waist, and another girl with silver eyes and a red hooded cloak. And right now, the hunters and huntresses looked around the unfamiliar woodlands, seeming rather...lost.

"Lets see...uh huh! Uh...huh? Hmm... yep! Were lost." the cloaked teen said in her excitable voice as she looked at the map. The rest of her companions sighed.

"Let me see the map Ruby." said the armored blonde.

"Eh, you sure you don't want Ren to read it?" Asked the redhead who popped up beside the now named Ruby, while the green clothed teen sighed exasperated, as if he was used to this happening, which he was.

"Nora, I'm not exceptional at everything you know. Now let Jaune have the map." said the teen clad in green, who was named Ren. The redheaded girl, called Nora gave a short sigh and handed the blonde boy, whose name was Jaune, the map.

All of a sudden, the cloaked teen stopped walking and turned her head towards noises in the distance.

"Wait. You hear that?" Ruby asked and reached behind her back to a box shaped object. In the distance howls were heard as well as sounds of a sword clashing against bone. "Lets go, that person might need some help!" she yelled and disappeared in a flourish of rose petals.

"I hate it when she does that." Jaune complained as he ran after the young red cloaked huntress, and the rest followed.

Ruby was the first to show up and froze in shock and disbelief as a orange haired teen, dressed in strange black robes swung around a humongous black sword like it weighed nothing, killing hordes of Grimm with skill alone. When he was done fighting off the hordes of enemies the blade wrapped itself in bandages and he strapped it to his back. "What is up with these hollows? I don't sense any reiatsu from any of 'em." Ruby heard the orange head grumble under his breath as he turned around to see who his audience was.

"Hey, its best if you leave. This forest is infested with those Hollow knockoffs." He said, and looked at the cloaked girl in front of him, who was still staring at his sword with an awestruck expression on her face. "Oi, can you hear me? You there? Hello?!" He yelled as she finally snapped out of it.

She then gasped and began to ramble about how awesome his weapon was. "Oh my gosh that was amazing! Who are you? Are you a hunter? What's your name? That sword looks so cool! Where do I get one?! How did you swing it around like that? What's type of blade is it? Did I mention your sword looks AWESOME!?! How does it wrap itself like that?!" Ruby began to trail off as more and more tick marks appeared on the orange head's scowling face! Before he finally snapped.

"ASK ONE QUESTION AT A TIME WITH SIXTY WORDS OR LESS!!" he shouted loudly at the girl, who then began to pout with teary eyes.

"Im sorry...*sniff* I won't bother you again..." she said sadly, on the verge of tears. The Soul Reaper hugged the crying girl, which surprised her.

"I'm sorry for yelling at you. I just had a bad week, so don't feel bad." He said, ignoring the growing blush on the cloaked teen's face. He then let go, and she immediately looked the other way so he couldn't see her face, which was as red as her cloak.
