Chapter Three: The Journey Begins

AN: Hello! It's me! It's another chapter being added to the story today, time to celebrate! By the way, I'm hoping you like the little skits the main characters put on after each chapter, I took a page from MisakaLovesYou's loose leaf idea book and ran with it. (Also, if you haven't read any of her series, What's wrong with you? Read some right after your done reading this! Do it!) Anyways, free advertising aside, she makes great crossovers, and reading them really helps me get in the mood to write. Now, without further adieu...on with the-

Ruby: Let's get the disclaimers out of the way now.

Kraken: Oh come on Ruby. Really? That's my job!

Ichigo: Not anymore it isn't.

Kraken: O_O

Ruby: Project_KRAKEN does not own Bleach or RWBY, and if he did, he'd probably not post anymore episodes due to pure laziness. *glares*

Kraken: *clears throat* Well then. That was a thing. Anyways, on with the fic!

Ichigo, true to his word, watched over the 4 teens as they slept, making sure no Grimm came within even twenty feet of them before killing it silently and returning to his post. Once assuring they were all safe, he flash stepped into the brush, gathering wood for a campfire and setting them down gently in a pile next to the four sleeping forms. *Hakudo number 31; Shakkaho." The orange head whispered as a small ball of red hot flames shot out from his open palm, setting the pile of drywood on fire. He was afraid he accidentally woke up Ruby when she talked in her sleep, saying something about cookies. After checking to see if there was any danger of the fire getting out of control, Ichigo nodded with self satisfaction as he set by his new friends, waiting for the moment they wake up.

"Lets see..Zangetsu?" Ichigo whispered aloud, since everyone was asleep, no one would hear him and think he was crazy.

'Yes?' The zanpakuto spirit asked.

"Want to spar for a bit? I need something to do while I wait for them to be conscious again." Zangetsu agreed, and so Ichigo set his sword in his lap, and went into the meditative state known as Jinzen. When he opened up his eyes his inner world was filled with water among towering skyscrapers, but for him, that was the new normal. After learning the Final Getsuga Tenshou, his zanpakuto was filled with sadness, and so his soulscape flooded. His thoughts were interrupted by Zangetsu appearing before him, and materializing Ichigo's sword in his hand, with the orange haired Soul Reaper doing the same.

"Ready?" said Ichigo, Zangetsu merely nodded.

"Ichigo, you ready to get your ass kicked? Fight me instead!" Demanded his hollow somewhere in his inner world, but he stopped when another voice told him the plot would be ruined if he makes an appearance in the story now.

"What do you mean by 'plot'?" Ichigo asked the mysterious voice.

"Nothing." he said, and his presence vanished entirely.

"Huh, who was that? Eh, probably no one important. Anyways, let's do this-" he was cut off by a distinctly female voice calling his name.

"Ichigo! Wake up!" she said, her words reverberating through the drowned city that was Ichigo's soulscape.

"Ruby? What could she want?" Ichigo asked Zangetsu, who shrugged.

"Its best if you go and find out. Otherwise she will wake everyone else with how loud she's being at the moment." Ichigo's zanpakuto warned. So he stopped meditating, and was greeted by the teary eyes and pouting face of Ruby Rose, who was starting to get worried about him.
