AN: Hi, sorry for the lack of updates and the relatively short chapter. Ive been busy with other things. But here's another Chapter for you guys! Now for the disclaimers, since Ruby is in the hospital, we'll have Yang take over the disclaimers for now. Take it away blondie!
Yang: Ugh! You know I hate that nickname! Anyways, RWBY and Bleach are owned by their respective companies and subsidiaries, yada yada, Can we start now?
Kraken: *Chuckles* Ok Yang. Now, without further adieu, ON WITH THE FIC!
'Thoughts'
'Zangetsu (Kuro)'
'Inner Hollow (Shiro)'
"Shiro, Kuro, meet Ruby and Qrow. You two, meet both halves of Zangetsu."
"Heh, 'sup weaklings." Shiro smirked he looked upon the wide eyes of Ruby and her uncle, and Kuro just nodded with a grunt.
They stood silent for a minute, still processing what was before them, when the drunk scythe wielder spoke up as he took a swig from his flask.
"Ok then." Qrow hummed in thought before he asked his question. "First off, why does Shiro feel so...dark?" Qrow asked the shinigami, who looked to the hollow expectantly.
"What, You want me to tell them? I have better things to do-" He stopped complaining when Ichigo sent a piercing glare his way.
Shiro rolled his eyes, "Fine. I'll explain king."
"I am what's known as a hollow, a monster formed when a human spirit spends too much time in the world of the living. Imma let Kuro over there explain the picky details. Im outta here." He then disappeared into Ichigo's mindscape.
The orange haired soul reaper sighed in exasperation. "Sorry guys, Shiro's kinda an ass. I'd beat em to a pulp if this wasn't a hospital."
"You can still battle him in your inner world." Kuro reminded him, when Ichigo scoffed.
"It's still not as satisfying..." The Kurosaki grumbled aloud, earning giggles from the cloaked little reaper in the hospital bed. Ichigo sent her a dry look, one that said 'Really?' that shut her up.
Kuro picked up the explanation from there, telling them about the soul reapers, captains, what each of them do, as well as answering some questions about Zanpakuto, and elaborating on them.
After it was all said and done, Kuro was sent back to Ichigo's Inner world, and the orange head heaved a heavy sigh.
"Do you believe me now Qrow?" The man in question stood up and turned to the shinigami.
"Guess I have no choice. However, If you ever hurt Ruby, Yang, or any of her friends, Im going to kick your ass all the way to your world. Understood?"
Ichigo began sweating bullets as the hunter waited for his answer with a glare on his face.
"Yes sir. I'll keep them safe." the soul reaper responded with what he hoped was a reassuring grin.
Nodding and satisfied with his answer, Qrow walked out of the room, shutting the door behind him. Leaving Ruby and Ichigo alone to talk.
"Thanks for protecting us back there Ichigo, You saved our lives and I don't know how to repay you for that..." She said in a soft voice, looking at the young man at her bedside with watery silver eyes.
"Ruby, your my friend now, all of you are. I'll go to any length to protect you guys." The shinigami's expression turned into a scowl. "I gave up everything when I left my world, I was in the middle of fighting a man named Aizen when he threw me into a damn portal and trapped me there." Ruby was silent.
"I should've saw it coming, but I didn't. I have no idea where my friends are now, even though its most likely they got killed by that bastard..." He clenched his fists, "I just wish I could've saved them-" Wide eyed, Ichigo's anger was washed away when the red reaper brought him into a warm hug.
"I lost friends too... Pyrrha Nikos and Penny Polendina. I didn't know them for long, but it still hurt... Pyrrha died fighting a battle she knew she couldn't win, and Penny was killed...just to make a statement..." Ruby began to cry as Ichigo held her tighter, thinking that he could lose the cloaked teen at any moment.
"W-when I saw you get s-stabbed, I was scared that I lost you. Thank god...Thank god you're alright Ruby." they both started to leak tears on each other's shoulder, tears they both have been holding in for a long time.
Hours later, with their eyes red and puffy from crying, Ichigo whispered into Ruby's ear, "I'll always protect the ones I love..." Then exhausted from the rough day, they fell asleep in each other's arms.
'Heh, guess King found his queen after all...' Shiro chuckled to himself.
As they slept, they had no idea of what their relationship will become, and what tragedies lie ahead...

Yang: Thats my job Ruby. I'm just glad you found someone you like!
Ruby: Y-YANG! ITS NOT LIKE THAT! I-I mean, sure he's hot and stuff, but Ichigo is just a friend... *Grumbles to herself*
Yang: What was that? That sounded a lot like you said you wish that the two of you could be more than fr-
Ichigo: More than what?
Ruby: N-N-Nothing!!! O////////O
