Chapter 1

HAYLIE'S POV

"Mom!" I yelled crying. I ran into my room and locked the door.

*knock knock*

"GO AWAY!" I yell.

"Its not your mother. Its Sammie." I hear.

Sammie was my best friends' older brother. I was 13 almost 14 and he was 16.

*FLASH BACK*

"Hunny i need to talk to you." My mom said while patting the seat next to her.

"What is it?" I ask concerned.

"Well... I got a transfer in work..." She said.

"And?" I asked.

"Ill just say it, Haylie we are moving." I started to tear already.

"NO!" I yell.

"Its for the best." My mom said.

"Mom!" I yelled crying. I ran into my room and locked the door.

*NOW*

I let Sam in.

"Your mom called me. Something wrong?" Sam walked and sit next to me on my bed. Sam was always there. He was the older brother i never had.

"Were moving..." I said softly.

"Its okay. Haylie, everything will be okay. I swear!" He hugged me like i was dieing. I laughed because it was cute. To be honest i had a little crush on him. But he was 16...

In 2 days we leave for the plane ride to... Wait! Where are we moving?!

I ran downstairs to talk to my mom.

"Where?" I ask sternly.

She looked up.

"North Carolina." She replied.

"We are moving to North Carolina. Hey, at least i can go to the beach! I live in Indiana. No beach. Hot summers. Maybe NC has nice weather." I thought to myself. Maybe this will be fun..?
