Chapter 8

HAYLIE'S POV

Hayes was shot. I was crying so hard.

"Ill let you go if you agree to one thing..." Kaden said.

"Anything. Anything for Hayes." I said.

It was silent for a few minutes.

"Kiss me." Kaden said.

"And me. Like you mean it." Ty added.

I'll do it so i can get to Hayes.

I kissed both of them. They let go of me. I ran to Hayes. I wrapped my jacket around his womb on his chest.

He wasn't that heavy. I picked him up and started walking to the hospital. I became very tired so i just called the ambulance.

Soon they showed up and put him in the stretcher.

"What relationship do you have with Hayes?" They asked.

"Girlfriend." I reply instantly.

After we arrived at the hospital i told the doctor everything that happened.

"Do you know the boys' names?" He asked.

"One was named Ty and the other was named Kaden. Hayes knows them." I said.

"Thank you. Please wait here." He left. I ran to the bathroom to fresh in up.

I cleaned my face and bloody hands. My eyes were red and puffy.

After about 10 minutes of waiting, the doctor came.

"Haylie. I need to talk to you. In Hayes' room." He left and i followed.

We entered Hayes's room. I looked at him. He had needles and IV's hooked up all over him.

"Haylie?" I was interrupted.

"Sorry what was that?" I asked a little embarrassed.

"It looks like Hayes might not make it." The doctor said.

All i heard was 'not make it'

"What?" I said.

"The gun shot was directly in the heart. The shooter must have really good aim. His heart is in really bad condition. We might need a heart transplant." He said.

We heard a knock on the door.

"I will be back with some more text results." He said letting the guests in.

It was Cameron and Carter.

"I heard my little bro was hurt." Carter said.

Cameron looked really hurt.

"Yeah." I said bitting my lip to not cry.

"Im so sorry Haylie. Can i talk to you in private?" Cameron asked.

I nodded. Carter left us two alone.

"So Hayes needs a heart?" He asked.

"Sadly." I said.

It was a short silence.

"Read this after Hayes' surgery. Give this to him when he wakes." He handed two pieces of paper.

"Okay." I replied.

"Haylie. I just want to tell you, i love you. You are the only girlfriend who has respect for Hayes. And i highly respect that. I love you." We hugged. We were both crying.

"I love you too Cam." I said in between sobs.

He kissed my cheek and left. I want to read the notes but i promised i would after Hayes' surgery.

HAYES POV

I woke up with some chest pain. I opened my eyes to see Haylie.

"Hayes!" She seemed really excited to see me.

"What happened? Where am i?" I asked a little confused.

"Your friend Ty and Kaden kidnapped us. As you ran to save me Kaden shot you. He shot you directly in the heart. You needed heart surgery." She said.

Wait Ty and Kaden my best friends?!

"Who gave me a heart?" I asked.

She started crying. What was wrong? She handed me a paper.

"Read it." She said.

The note said...
