As Waluigi walked up the path, closer to the huge, dark building that had appeared out of seemingly nowhere, he concluded it was indeed Luigi's Mansion.

This would make a pretty good hideout until the police terminate their search, Waluigi thought. And Luigi is dead; he won't be needing his mansion... But as soon as Waluigi thought this, he felt a pain of guilt. Although Luigi could be super annoying at times, Waluigi still had liked him a little, (mostly when Waluigi absolutely destroyed him in a competition). But now Waluigi was fleeing for his life, and he didn't receive the money from Sonic either because of all the chaos at the market. Everything was going wrong.

Nevertheless, Waluigi went up the front steps of the mansion and knocked on the door. After getting no response, he attempted to open the door, but it was locked. As Waluigi was turning away to go back into the forest, the door swung open. Confused but a little relieved, Waluigi walked inside. However, after just a few steps, the door slammed shut behind him. What was going on? Waluigi could hear the cackle of ghosts coming from somewhere far off in the distance. He took careful steps into the great room, until he heard a voice. "Welcome, Waluigi..." it said. Startled, Waluigi turned around and saw... Luigi? No, it couldn't be. Luigi dressed differently than this figure, and he was also dead thanks to Waluigi. After a closer inspection, Waluigi realized it was actually Mr. L!

"Waa! What are you doing here Mr. L?" exclaimed Waluigi. After no reply from the Luigi clone, Waluigi looked around at his surroundings. The mansion was green and black, just like Mr. L's character. But unlike the normal Luigi's Mansion, there were a bunch of colorful lights and several oddly decorated items of furniture. Then suddenly, one of the green armchairs unfolded and became a terrifying monster. Mr. L laughed as Waluigi hurriedly ran up the stairs and locked the door behind him in fear.

Waluigi knew he needed to get out of the mansion, fast. But he had no idea where he had just headed to, what room was he in now? As he looked around, he saw pots and pans, and other cooking appliances. Waluigi realized he was in the kitchen, but were there any means of escape? In fact, after more searching, he found something - not an exit to the mansion, but the original Poltergust 3000! Although, it had a note attached to it: "'DO NOT TOUCH, NEEDS REPAIRS!' - E. Gadd", Waluigi knew that Mr. L would be after him. Plus, he had no other options available to him and little time. Thus, Waluigi grabbed the Poltergust and went out of the kitchen.

The moment he laid one foot out of the room, two table lamp monsters came whirling at Waluigi. After a brief struggle, Waluigi captured them. He then went over to a nearby window to check if it was okay to jump out of. However, when he approached the window, Waluigi discovered that there were large thorn bushes beneath it; no way he could escape he mansion this way. He decided it would be better off if he found a different route, but the window was always an option if he truly had no other means of escape. So Waluigi started to explore other rooms in the mansion, but had little success.

Waluigi was wary that he didn't know if there were any secret rooms anywhere that Mr. L, or something worse, could be hiding in, as this was Waluigi's first time in the mansion. But this didn't discourage him. A minute later, he decided to turn a lamp on, as he could barely see. However, this triggered a sliding panel, revealing a staircase. Surprised and curious, Waluigi went down the stairs... and down, and down, and down. He realized that there couldn't be this many stairs, so he must have been stuck in some kind of loop. But as he continued a little further, he saw light! Waluigi was ecstatic; this might lead to a way to escape the awful mansion! However, he soon realized that that light might not be coming from outside, but just from another room. And was Mr. L in it waiting to attack Waluigi?

As he kept going further, Waluigi realized it was indeed another room. At first, he couldn't recognize what room that he had just entered. He had just went down a staircase, so he must be underground. Waluigi decided that he was in the basement, but there wasn't much in the room. Only an ominous door on the other side of the room, a bit of broken furniture, and a few empty boxes. Waluigi felt nervous; he was worried that he would be attacked the moment he opened the door, but it looked like the best thing he could do at that moment. Very cautiously, Waluigi opened the door.

*CREAK* Waluigi looked inside. However, he didn't get much of a chance to observe his surroundings when suddenly, Mr L. rushed at Waluigi. As Waluigi was ready to be punched in the face, Mr. L only kissed him on the nose. Waluigi was very confused, but he noticed something weird about Mr. L's eyes. Then it clicked. The only reason all of this was happening to Waluigi and why Mr. L was acting so weird was because Mr. L was being controlled by some outside force. Waluigi knew the only means of escape would be to rehabilitate Mr. L out of his current state.

"Hey Mr. L! Who really are you?" shouted Waluigi. Mr. L didn't answer, he just started coldly at Waluigi. But then he spoke like Princess Daisy. "Well, I'm Mr L, ya weirdo!" Before Waluigi could comprehend what Mr. L had just said and how he said it, Mr. L rushed up and smeared butter on Waluigi's face. What was going on? But then Waluigi somehow realized he was about to be sacrificed to the God of the Mushroom Kingdom, Enokitake, the giant white mushroom that supposedly looked over the entire land. With little choice left, Waluigi decided to use his unknown magic skills. He then shrieked like a hyena, and suddenly disappeared into absolute nothingness.

Mr. L just stood there, flabbergasted; Waluigi never shown any of signs of magical talent. However, Mr. L also had magic skills, and they were more powerful than Waluigi's. Using his magic, Mr. L hunted Waluigi down, finding him in the kitchen, before even a minute had gone by. He smacked the Poltergust 3000 out of Waluigi's hand before Waluigi could use it, and prepared to summon Enokitake himself. Waluigi stood in horror, as the giant mushroom god appeared out of nowhere, floating in front of Waluigi; Mr. L watching with glee. But somehow, Waluigi knew it wasn't the true Enokitake. Waluigi then used Water Jitsu to conjure up a whirlpool that sucked Enokitake up, but Mr. L used his burp powers to counter the attack and protect the god. Mr. L and Waluigi continued to fight and fight, each exchanging blows to one another. "Enokitake" had soon faded away, but after a few more blows by both Waluigi and Mr. L, Knucklotec had suddenly appeared! What the heck was going on!? Waluigi thought. But he had little more time to think as he was quickly punched squarely in the face by Knucklotec's huge, rocky fist!

Everything went dark for Waluigi, but there was nothing he could do it about. All he wanted now were for things to turn back to normal - no mansion, no train, no forest, no cops searching to detain him, no sad goodbye to Wario, no market fight scene, and no deaths. And then at that thought, Waluigi, covered in sweat, woke up back in his cozy bed in his home in the Mushroom Kingdom.
