nothing we can do

I quietly walked out of the room. my fist clenched in a ball .I slumped down the stairs .I swear I was sweating . I ran into my cell to find Kelsey laying on her bunk .

"ey.."I said awkwardly at the doorway ."hi em"she said while waving .

"you eh doing all right kels." I asked .she looked like all the color in her face was flushed away and replaced with a pale yellow .

"yah-yeah .of course im alright ."she said faking a smile. I stepped closer to her .to get a better look at her. "s-stay .stay back .oh ..okay" she stuttered . I stared puzzled ."your not alright .Kelsey why didn't you tell me .w-when did this happen?" I question panicked .

"nothing is wrong em."she insured ."I know what's going on kels". I said my voice getting louder and tenser . "look it'll be all right .trust me .its just a cold .just like the one back in woodbury. aight" she said trying to calm me down ."I just saw a man NEARLY DIE KELSEY ." I cringed ."all from that ..'cold'" using hand quotes over cold ."I didn't want to scare you emmy" she said sincerely .I took a deep breath and climbed the ladder on to top bunk .

"I don't know what to say"I mumbled out starring at the ceiling ."nothing .we can't do nothing "i heard her say before I drifted off into a deep depressing slumber..

I awoke to screaming coming from the above floor .I quickly scrambled out of bed to see if Kelsey was their but to my surprise was replaced

by a stain of blood .
