Hamliza One Shots

Prompt- "look at me-just breath, okay?"

By the time Eliza had gotten home it'd been raining for an hour. And half an hour before she got home it stared thundering and hard.

"Alexander!" She called as she entered the closed the door behind her, as she walked to the kitchen with groceries in hand. "Alexander are you home?" She called, but she got no reply she assumed he was out.

Eliza quickly put all the groceries away, and as she walked to the living room she could hear a small whimper come from her and Alexander's room.

She looked over towards the door, a loud thunderous boom shook the ground a bit and she heard another whimper followed by a small scream come from the bedroom.

She slowly made her way into their room and in the dark she saw Alexander. He was on the bed at the headboard, curled up into a ball shaking and whimpering.

She went to their bed a sympathetic look on her face, she'd never seen Alexander like this.

She moved closer to him and slowly placed her hand on his shoulder. As soon as she made contact he jumped. His head slowly moved up to look at her.

His face was stained with tears, his eyes were puffy and red. His bottom lip quivered with fear.

"Hi sweetie..." she whispered slowly making a move to hug him, not wanting to freak him out.

Alexander grabbed Eliza by the waist, pushing his head into her stomach whimpering more.

Eliza held him in her arms, running her fingers through his hair. "Shhh, I've got you...." She whispered.

Alexander held onto her tighter, and when another sound of thunder sounded he shook even more intensely. Eliza frowned as she heard him gasping for air.

"Alexander..." she whispered and he just shook his head. "Alexander.." she mqwhispered again.

He shook his head more, gasping as she felt his tears starting to wet her shirt.

"Alexander.." she whispered, she didn't know exactly what she was supposed to do but she knew she had to do something. "Look at me—just breath, Okay?"

Alexander slowly looked up at Eliza and took a deep breath as he slowly nodded his head.

"How about we lay down.." she whispered to him, which he nodded in reply. Eliza then slowly began lay down holding Alexander in her arms, and Alexander would lay his head on her chest.

The sound of her heart beating made Alexander feel a bit more calm. Though he was still shaking a bit, his breathing had calmed down at this point.

"Th-than-Thank you..." He whispered to her.

"Of course, I'm always here for you Alex, always..." she whispered back kissing the top of his head.

After about an hour of laying there with him the storm had calmed into a soft drizzle.

Once the storm had calmed Alexander was able to calm down more fully. His body stopped shaking, his eyes closed fully and he was able to start drifting off into a comfortable sleep.

"Goodnight Alexander..." Eliza whispered holding him close as she soon drifted off to sleep as well.
