-----Jaime's POV -----

It had been one year since I've spoken to Natalie. I realize that there was no point in me bothering her every second of the day if she didn't want to speak to me. So I let her be. She's been living with Austin, but i didn't quite bother me. They probably began dating, but as long as she was happy, I'm ok with that.

I was sitting on the couch writing some songs. The band broke up after Tony and Vic's incident last year. I continued working on music and went solo. Music was the thing that truly made me happy an let me express my feelings. I wasn't just going to let that go.

The phone rang and I went over to get it.

"Hello?"

"Hime!" It was Tony.

"Hey Tone, what's up?"

"Wanna go to a party?" He asked.

"When?"

"Today. At Brenda's. She is throwing her sister a small get together with friends for her birthday. She asked me to ask you if you could possibly sing for her?"

"Um yeah, definitely. What time?" I asked.

"8. But it'd be cool if you could arrive earlier." He replied.

"Sure, no problem. I'll be there." I hung up an put the phone back. It was 6 pm, I began getting dressed.

Black jeans, vans, white tee, a cardigan, and a beanie. Perfect.

I grabbed my guitar and headed for the door.

I arrived within minutes. There was a decent amount of people, but not enough to call it a real fiesta.

I was greeted by Brenda.

"Jaime! So glad you could make it! Will you be able to perform?" She asked.

"For sure! I have my guitar here!"

"Great! Thank you for doing this, I appreciate it. Well you won't sing until 8, so help yourself to anything, food, drinks, and enjoy yourself!" She walked off with a smile. I walked over to the mini stage set up, set my guitar on a stand and sat on the tree swing. I felt relaxed. I enjoyed moments like this, being alone and watching everything from an outside perspective. It really makes you realize how different and diverse the world is.

A familiar face shows up.

Its Austin.

That means Natalie must of been here. I looked around to see if I spotted her, but she was nowhere to be seen.

I ran to Tony.

"Hey Tone, quick question."

"Jaime! Glad you made it! What's up dude?" He said.

"Did you invite Austin?" I asked.

"Carlile? Nah." He shook his head.

"Well somebody did." I pointed over to Austin.

"Well at least you get to see Natalie!"

"Except she's not here."

"Weird," he said. "I'll go see what's up."

He walked over to Austin and greeted him with a handshake. They talked, Austin making hand gestures here and there, looking serious. Tony just nodded while having his arms crossed. They finished talking and Tony walked back to me, his head lowered.

"Well?!" I asked anxiously.

"She's in the hospital." He said quietly.

"What!?" I almost yelled. I ran over to Austin.
