Jennie's POV —a few weeks later—
I blow a few strands of hair out of my face as I set a box down. Jack and I are moving into the house today. It isn't easy. With the stress of the wedding and the moving, and college, I'm like dying a little inside every day. Today is actually my first time in a week or so seeing Jack. He's been partying and leaving the planning of the wedding up to me and it makes me really mad. We were supposed to meet up a few days ago to talk about some of the planning, he canceled because Johnson was throwing a party.
"Jennie. You alright hun?" I hear my mom ask, snapping me out of my thoughts. I look at her and nod, forcing a smile
"Yea. I'm good." I say and she nods. She kisses my cheek and then walks outside just as Jack walks inside.
"You have a lot of shit." He says
"Yep." I say moving a few boxes into the kitchen.
"Your still pissed about Monday?" He asks
"I could care less." I say with a shrug.
"Really? Because the little string of texts you sent me that night didn't seem like you didn't care." He says
"You needed to be there Jack. You need to help me. This isnt just my wedding, this is yours too. Not to mention, I'm in school. So the lease you could've done was be there that day. But partying seems more important to you." I say looking at him
"We aren't a couple Jennie." He says
"We are getting married!" I exclaim
"We didn't choose too. Your gonna have to get used to me going out every once in a while." He says
"Every once in a while my ass. You go out like every other day. And you post it all on your Snapchat too." I say and he groans
"God your so dramatic." He says. I roll my eyes and walk past him and outside.
"Is that all?" I ask my mom, tucking some hair behind my ear.
"Yea. That's it. Jack's parents and your dad and I are gonna go to lunch, you guys wanna come?" She asks me and I shake my head
"I'm gonna start unpacking. I wanna get everything settled in as soon as possible. And I have a few assignments I need to do." I say and she nods. She gives me a hug and smiles at me
"Your growin up. I'm so happy." She says and I smile. She kisses my cheek and then Kathrine, David, my dad and Jack walk out. Kathrine and David get in their car and my parents get in theirs. I wave as they back out. Once they are down the street, I turn around to Jack.
"Are you gonna stay long enough to help me start unpacking, or is there a party down town you have to get to?" I ask and he rolls his eyes. I walk inside and to the kitchen and start unpacking. I set aside decorations and just put pantry food and cups as dishes away. Once that's done, I decide to move up to our room. I put away my clothes and hang them up. I put my shoes up and put my stuff in the bathroom.
"Do you need help?" I hear Jack ask.
"Just with the bed." I say pointing to the boxes. We—let me rephrase that—I went to Ikea and got a bed for us. I got some plain gray sheets and comforter.

After we set up the bed, I make the bed, putting everything on it. Jack moves the night stands next to it and I put my lamp on mine.
"I want a lamp." Jack says
"Get your own." I say setting some things on the dresser.
"I'll just use yours." He says walking to it
"No. Jack." I say laughing waking to him. He unplugs it and I laugh and set it back down
"But I want a lamp." He says
"That's mine." I say pointing to it.
"No. It's mine now." He says picking it up again
"Jack stop." I say laughing chasing him around the room.
"It's my lamp now." He says and I laugh. He sets it on his side and plugs it in then walks away and into the bathroom. I walk to it and unplug it.
"It's my lamp." I hear him exclaim. Next thing I know, he's holding my wrists against the wall and we are both laughing
"I bought it." I say and he shrugs
"It's mine now." He says and I stick my tongue out at him. He laughs and we sit there for a few beats of silence. I find my self drawn to his lips. I then see that he's leaning down. I freak out inside my head an duck under his arm.
"It's my lamp." I say grabbing it and crawling acrosss the bed and to my side. I plug the lamp back in and then turn around and look at him. He's rubbing his face
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean-"
"Your fine." I say and he nods.
"Anything else we should unpack right now?" He asks and I shake my head.
"No. I'm gonna start on some of my homework." I say and he nods. I grab my phone and then jog downstairs. I grab my laptop and walk to the kitchen and sit at the island. I grab a cup and make some coffee and then sit back down and open my laptop. I then start to working on some assignments.
