The warm liquor burned my throat as I skulled all I could stomach, the sound of Macklemore and Kesha playing through the speakers of the car and the wind in my hair giving me a rush of adrenaline like no other. I winced as I pulled the bottle away from my lips, looking at it half empty – or half full if you're one of those sort of people.

My face scrunched at the taste of vodka lingering in my mouth and Sebastian looked at me, an impressed smirk embarked on his handsome face. He took the hand not on the steering wheel and reached out to grab the bottle off of me and I slapped it away.

"I don't know if you're forgetful or just plain stupid, but you're driving, and," I pulled out my phone from my pocket, checking the time, "and we've still got half an hour to go."

I brought the vodka bottle up to my lips again and just before it reached them he fished it right out of my hands and in a single motion brought it up to his lips, chugging down more than enough of it.

"I don't know if you're forgetful or just plain stupid, but it's my car sweetheart, therefore, my rules." He handed the bottle back to me and offered me a smirk, looking at me from the corner of his eyes while his hand that was once holding the bottle made it's way to the stereo, turning the volume right down. "No Kesha either."

I rolled my eyes more dramatically than I needed to and turned it back up. My eyes rested on the sign ahead of us on the left side of the road that read; Just a little bit over? You bloody idiot.

I hoped Sebastian got a good read of that.

"Let me drive."

Sebastian glancec over at me and chuckled. "Fuck that." My eyebrow rased and he continued. "You're not driving my car, what part did you not get about that. Besides, do you even know how to drive?"

"Yes. I do actually." I wasn't great but I knew how to start one, and to me that was good enough.

"I don't trust you. You've been drinking." I motioned to him to pull over and he just shook his head in disbelief.

"So have you."

"Yeah, but I trust myself enough to not let it crash on my side," I smirked and he just continued driving, a small chuckle escaping his lips.

I'd expected the campsite to have fewer people, I mean, the moment we arrived, it was like a festival of high school and uni students.

We sat in the car for a moment, looking around. The first people to catch my sight that I knew were Jack and Sherrie, a giant smile on both their faces and red cups in both their hands, Sherrie throwing her head back laughing at something — and she didn't even look dorky doing that.

Sebastian followed my gaze to them and shook his head. "Fuck he's whipped."

I swallowed a lump in my throat I didn't know was there at his words. "Yeah, that's exactly what someone wants to hear about their ex."

Sebastian faced me and finally turned the running car off. "Why would I lie to make you feel better?"

I raised my brow and shrugged so he just continued, "if you just face the fact he likes her, then you'll be okay with it eventually." He paused. "Unless you want to spend your life angry at her and hurt by him — in which case, be my guest."

There went another lump in my throat. "Maybe you're right."

Without another word, we both opened our doors, getting out of the car and standing up, the sun immediately greeting me. I went to the back of the car, opening it up and grabbing out my drinks, whilst Sebastian grabbed out his.

I didn't recognise a lot of the people, but Sebastian seemed to know everyone, and everyone knew him too.

As we walked to the drink tent — which looked big enough to fit everyone here — Sebastian had already been stopped twice.

A girl, around my height with her tits out stood in front of us, a much too perfect smile embarked on her face and a hand on Sebastian's arm as she talked animatedly.

My eyes flicked to her hand for a small moment, and like he was a physic, he simply shrugged her hand off of him.

She didn't seem to care, and simply turned to me, "I'm Shannon, and you're Aub- one of Sebastian's friends?"

I lifted my lips just a little because I really couldn't be bothered putting effort in with this girl. I will never understand why girls just make there way up to guys. Especially when they're with a girl. I mean, our circumstance was different — we were hardly even friends, but it still doesn't change anything.

"What's your friends' name?" She bit her lip as she looked from Sebastian to me.

Sebastian just looked to me.

"I'm right here." My patience grew thin and I didn't know why, so I took in a deep breath and smiled as genuine as I could — which wasn't really too genuine at all. "I'm Aubrey."

"That's a unique name, isn't it?" I just shrugged off her condescending voice and nodded. "It doesn't suit you at all."

"Shannon's a shit name too if that's what you're going on about." A voice interrupted, and I looked to see it was no other than the man next to me.

Her mouth flew open for just a moment before she shut it tight.

"Let's go, Aubs," Sebastian came closer to me, his hand wrapping around my waist, filling me with confusion, and as we walked away, he spoke lowly in my ear, "he's staring."

I followed his gaze which met Jack's, who stood a mere couple feet away, staring at the two of us.
