The day that everyone has been dreading has finally come; Makayla’s funeral. I still don’t want to believe that she’s gone. Zayn rarely leaves him room at the hotel. Modest wants us to get back on tour after the funeral. Louis bonded the most with Makayla, even though Zayn was dating her, so he’s has been moping around and will barely eat. None of us have talked to each other. The only words you can hear are ‘Hi’, ‘Good morning’, ‘Good night’, ‘Excuse me’, and ‘Bye’. Right now I’m sitting in Makayla’s room trying to feel something.

“Liam, it’s time to go.” Nicola knows on the door waiting for me. I stand up and walked to my older sister. She put her arm around my back and she did the same. We did that all the time when we thought Makayla wasn’t going to make it when we were younger. It was our way of saying that everything was going to be alright.

We arrived at the church where everyone was gathering. Zayn walked up next to me and put his hand on my shoulder.

“I know this might be a bad time but can we talk?” Zayn asked quietly. I nodded my head and we walked off to a quiet part of the church.

“Liam, I just wanted to let you know that I didn’t mean to hurt Makayla. I don’t know why I cheated on her and I regret it. The thing is that the day she, you know, I was going to propose. I know that I have bad timing but I wanted to know if it was okay with you if I put this ring on her finger. I already asked your dad but I wanted to know if it was okay with you as well.” Zayn asked. He pulled out the ring to show me.

‘It’s what Makayla would have wanted. You didn’t need to ask me.” I said giving him a hug.

In the middle of the funeral I had to leave. Not because of the sadness because of the paparazzi. Questions we being thrown at me. I sighed before opening my mouth. The paps got quite so I could answer.

“You guys are so fucking rude it’s not even funny. My baby sister just died and we’re trying to have her funeral but you won’t let that happen because you’re too damn annoying. It’s not only today, okay? You crashed Niall’s nephew’s christening, Harry’s mum’s wedding, and you won’t butt out of our personal lives. You’re wasting time and not being with your families and making hard for us to be with ours. So if you kindly go the fuck away before I have to call the police? And you can print what I just said all over the internet and tellies because I don’t give a fuck anymore.” They didn’t move for a second so I pulled out my phone. That’s when they all ran.

The end of a funeral is so pitiful. A whole bunch of people you don’t know or rarely see come up to you and talk about how they are sorry for our lost, when you know that they don’t care. We had to stand there for about an hour while we hear the same words over and over again. When we go home everything was a blur because we had a lot of family members over at our house. Nicola, Ruth, and I hid in Makayla’s room and locked the door because nobody would look for us in there.
