You again

Part 2 of Chapter 1

Bella and her family in the MM

I walked into first period just as the bell rang and sat in my usually spot next to Bella
"What took you so long" she whispered
Bella didn't know about Tre and I little deal I didn't want to tell her because part of me felt like she would judge me and part of me just wanted to keep it to myself plus Tre and I agreed to not to tell anybody.
"Sorry has to stop by the bathroom" I whispered back
Sometimes I did feel bad keeping it from her but it's not that big of a deal
The day went by pretty fast before I knew it the last bell rang and I was headed to my locker to grab a couple of things. I felt a smack on my ass to turn around and see Tre smirking at me I smiled back as he kept walking with his friends. We didn't associate at school it was more my idea than his I didn't want people all in our business
       "Did I just see Tre smirking at you" Bella announced snapping me out of my thoughts
"What? No you know that's his normal face" I joked
"I guess anyways with the party tomorrow I'll come by and get ready at your house"
"Uh sure yeah that's cool" pretending as if she had asked
Bella doesn't really like being home after everything that's happened with her family her mom kind of ignores her she doesn't engage in conversation with her anymore but I was fine with her coming over more than she did a year ago I mean I understood it couldn't be easy. The drive from school was far from quiet Bella went on rambling about her cheer team and how they weren't prepared for the pep rally next week.
We arrived at her house and she thanked me for the ride and got out. I then drove to my house parked my car in the drive way and entered the house as soon as I walked in it smelled like fresh baked chocolate chip cookies I stopped and got a good rift before putting my things down and entering the kitchen to see my mom with her apron rolling the dough
"Hey Bunny how was school"
Bunny was a nickname my parents gave me as a kid.
"It was school so you know" I said while taking a bite of a cookie
"Yeah I see, any plans this weekend?"
"Bella wanted to go to this party if that's okay?"
"Sure, you can use a night out anyways always studying" she claimed
"Well College isn't going to let me in with lousy grades" I shrugged
"I know but you work all the time I just wished you'd get out more maybe get a boyfriend"
Tre came to mind. Little did she know I had a whole friends with benefits ideal going on
"Boys have cooties" I teased
She laughed
I grabbed my things and headed upstairs I decided to take a nap because lord knows I've been dying to take one since I woke up for school this morning

I woke up from my nap looking over and realizing it was 7pm I can't believe I slept from 4 straight hours I must've been really tired. I walked down stairs and smelt parmesan Panini
"'Mom this smells amazing" I stated with a smile
"Thank you now go wash your hands because it's time to eat"
I went to the bathroom to wash my hands when I heard the door bell ring as I dried my hands off I open the door and it was Bella
"Hey I called your phone but you didn't answer so I decided to just show up" she smiled she had her bag in her hand which I'm guessing is full of clothes meaning she's spending the night
"Sorry I just woke up and it's probably upstairs somewhere come in"
As she stepped into the house she went upstairs to put her belonging in my room
"Honey who was at the door"
"It was Bella and I'm guessing she's staying the night" I said as I grabbed a extra plate and set it on the table
My mom didn't mind if Bella sometimes case unannounced she knew that she sometimes needed to get away and she felt like Bella was a second daughter so. Bella eventually came downstairs and we all were seated and did a quick prayer before digging in. My dad wasn't there he normally never made it home for dinner
"This is Amazing Mom" I stated while chewing and covering my mouth while I talked
"Yeah it really is Emily " Bella agreed
After years and years of knowing my family my mom agreed that Bella should be on a first name bases she didn't want Bella to feel entitled call her Mrs.Johnson all the time considering Bella was basically family
"Oh thank you girls"my mother smiled
"So Layla tells me you both will be attending a party tomorrow" my mom added
"Yeah it's Layla boyfriend party" Bella chimed
I nearly chocked on my noodle
"He is not my boyfriend" I argued
"Oh come on I see the way you look at him she has a massive crush on him Emily"
"Is that so?" My Mom smirked
"No it isn't so he's cute so I can look at him like he's cute but I do not like him" I argued back
My mom and Bella just laughed as they changed the subject
"So Bella how is your mom? I keep meaning to call and check up on her" my mom said
"She's her usually self always busy" Bella said quietly
You could hear the hurt in her voice my mom decided the subject again
"How about desert I made y'all favorite cheesecake"
A smile crept on Bella face. After dinner Bella and I went upstairs and chilled for a little she took a shower and we just chatted for a little
"So you really don't like Tre?"
"No" I scoffed
"Well good because I heard from Becky on the cheer team that they've been hooking up for the past months
I was taken back a little. I was a tad bit hurt even though I wasn't his girlfriend I still couldn't help but be hurt.
"Wow great for her" I replied sarcastically
Bella laughed
"I mean who knows if it's true but I wouldn't put it past them, Tre has always been a player" Bella stated while painting her toes
"Yeah" I replied quietly
